"Tar, don't—"

It was too late. Tarzan had jumped up onto their bed and immediately started trying to lick Camila's face. Shawn had woken up and taken the dog out to potty but unfortunately that also meant that the golden retriever had an abundance of morning energy when they got back into the apartment. And with as much as Camila had drank the night before, she was anything but ready to wake up. Camila groaned, pulling her pillow over her face to shut out the commotion. Shawn climbed back into bed and laid down next to her, tugging her body close to his. Tarzan ran out of their bedroom and into the kitchen to eat his breakfast.

"Sorry," Shawn whispered. "I tried to stop him before he woke you up." Camila groaned again but snuggled into his chest anyways. She silently laid like that for about five minutes; Shawn thought she might've even fallen back asleep, but she hadn't.

"I got too drunk," Camila whispered groggily.

"I put some Aspirin on your nightstand."

"Thanks." She replied so quietly he barely even realized she had said anything. Despite Shawn telling her he had gotten her some medication for her inevitable hangover, she still didn't move from her position. She remained wrapped up in her fiancé's arms with her face pressed to his chest. He didn't think anything of it until he felt wetness against his skin, near his collarbone. He pulled alway just slightly and looked down. Camila had tears running down her cheeks.

"You okay, baby?" He assumed it was the combination of the hangover and the emotions that came with moving out of their apartment but something about the way her face contorted a bit at his question let him know that it was something else entirely.

"I didn't eat anything yesterday," she shamefully admitted, hiding her face against him again. "I think that's why I got so much drunker than I meant to."

Shawn thought through his response carefully, as he always did when it came to the topic of her eating habits. He started slowly brushing his fingers through her hair as he thought but before he could respond she was speaking up again.

"I'm sorry. I was doing so well; I don't know why I did it."

"Nothing specific brought it on?" He asked. She shook her head. He believed her; he was confident she'd be honest with him about this. "When was the last time you ate?"

"Day before yesterday."

Shawn silently let that new information sink in. It was so hard for him to wrap his mind around how seemingly easy it was for her to go an entire day without eating anything. He couldn't go more than a few hours without feeling pangs of hunger in his stomach. Was it painful for her too? Did she have to suffer through the feeling of her stomach twisting in knots due to the lack of food, or was her body accustomed to it? He hated the idea that maybe her body had gotten used to being starved.

"Will you eat breakfast with me?" He asked cautiously. "I can make you something. We can eat it in bed together."

Camila silently thought about it but realistically she knew this choice he was giving her was just an illusion. If she were to reject his offer for food, he would simply reword his offer until she felt comfortable enough to agree. She sighed heavily, knowing just how difficult the first meal after a period of not eating or a purge was. Her internal struggle to take him up on the offer was interrupted by the feeling of his soft lips pressing against her temple lovingly. She felt the tension in her body slowly start to melt away. It never ceased to amaze her how much love could be communicated through such a simple gesture.

"I'd like breakfast."

Shawn kissed the tip of her nose before sliding out of bed again. He took a moment to tuck her into bed again, giving her another quick kiss to the temple before stepping towards their bedroom door. "I'll go make us something. You can keep resting."
