Shawn was getting ready to craft the most perfect breakfast burrito when his tiny angel of a fiancée came rushing downstairs and into the kitchen with a massive smile on her face. She squealed and ran up to him, squeezing her arms around his waist.
"What's got you so excited this morning?" he asked, unable to suppress the chuckle that escaped him. Nothing was cuter to him than seeing Camila happy.
"They emailed me back! I got an interview!"
"Wait, for the animal sanctuary job?"
"Yes!" She jumped up and down excitedly. "I checked my email when I woke up and they sent me a message asking if I could come in for an interview today."
"Today?"
"This morning," she affirmed. "I'm scheduled for 11:15." She glanced at the clock on the oven. It was 9 AM. She gasped and let go of her best friend's waist. "I have to go get ready!" And with that, she started to scurry off back upstairs to their bedroom.
"I'll bring breakfast up to you in a bit!" Shawn called out after her.
He listened to the shower run while he made two breakfast burritos and two cups of coffee. He put both plates and both mugs of coffee onto a tray and carried them upstairs to their bedroom. It didn't take him long to spot Camila standing in front of the mirror in their bathroom, blow-drying her hair in only her underwear. He sucked in a sharp breath as he set their breakfast tray down onto the bed. He wasn't sure there'd ever be a day where he wasn't massively affected by his future wife's body. She was so insanely beautiful and it damn-near infuriated him that she didn't see herself the way he saw her. He grabbed her plate and mug and took them into the bathroom, setting them down onto the counter next to her.
"Thank you, baby!" She shouted over the loud hum of her hairdryer. She turned it off and set it down onto the counter, turning to give Shawn a grateful kiss.
"Is that what you're wearing to the job interview?" He eyed her body up and down. The lilac lace bra and panty set looked so damn good on her.
"Yep. Think I'll get the job?" she joked, shaking her butt. Shawn laughed.
"If it were up to me, I'd make you CEO."
"You're too good to me." Camila's hands rested on his abs, sliding up to her shoulders and behind his neck as she stood up on her tiptoes and kissed him again. "Thanks again for breakfast. Smells really good."
"Enjoy, baby." He kissed her forehead and then went back to their bed, lounging with his back against the headboard as he ate his own breakfast burrito. Shawn had the perfect view of Camila from where he was and truthfully, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Sometimes watching her do the most mundane, simple things made him feel overwhelmed with love for her. Like now, when she was styling her hair and applying her makeup, pausing every now and then to take a bite of her burrito or take a sip of her latte.
She was already almost ready and she still had an hour and fifteen minutes before her interview. Shawn considered pointing that out but opted not to. Camila was humming to herself as she stepped out of the bathroom and into their closet. About ten minutes later, she stepped out wearing high-waisted dark denim pants and a matching denim vest with a cropped white tee under it.
"Is this too casual for a job interview? I want something that says 'I'm fun and playful and I love animals but also I mean business'. So, what do you think?"
