"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure," Shawn told her for what felt like the twentieth time that evening. He couldn't help but say it with a chuckle. "You go out — have fun with Gigi."
"But we still need to pack so much and—"
Shawn took a step towards her and kissed the tip of her nose. "And I can take care of it. Seriously. Go enjoy your girl's night; I'll take care of the rest of the packing so we'll be all ready for tomorrow."
"Tomorrow," Camila repeated in a whisper. Her eyes slowly closed and a smile tugged at her lips as she rested her forehead against her fiancés muscular chest. "We're moving back home tomorrow."
Shawn smiled, wrapping his arms around her and hugging her close. He pressed his lips to the top of her head. "You ready to leave the city?"
"You have no idea." She looked up at him just to see him already staring down at her. "I can't wait to live upstate again; I can't wait to live in that house with you again."
"Tomorrow we say goodbye to this little apartment forever."
"Oh, wait...now that's gonna make me sad too!" She jutted out her bottom lip in a pout. Shawn laughed and shook his head.
"This place definitely has some good memories attached to it. But unfortunately I am not quite rich and successful enough to buy you an entire New York City apartment building as a romantic gesture...yet."
Camila snorted out a laugh. "No need. I have a feeling I'll get over leaving the apartment pretty quickly once we get to the house."
"Good." He gave her a quick peck on the lips. "Now go get ready. Leave the packing to me."
Shawn got to work packing up the remainder of their apartment while Camila scurried off to get dressed for her 'girl's night out'. She came back out about 40 minutes later, her hair pulled up in a high ponytail and her makeup glowy yet natural. Shawn looked his fiancée up and down, a smirk of approval on his face.
"God, you're hot."
"Shut up," she snorted, sliding her phone into her back pocket.
"Do you still have your pepper spray in your purse?"
Camila snapped her eyes up to him and chuckled. "Yes — as always." Her mind flashed back to the last time he asked her that question. "You know, the last time you asked me that I believe I was on my way to a date."
"Wearing my clothes."
"So you remember?" Camila smirked and squinted her eyes at him. "And to think, I had no idea what kind of effect seeing me wear your clothes had on you at the time." She reached up and put her hand on his face, brushing her thumb across his cheek. "My poor baby."
Shawn was staring at her with a completely unreadable expression and before Camila knew it, his hands were on her face and he was kissing her...hard. Her hands held his forearms, mainly just to keep herself upright as he kissed the hell out of her. Camila's eyes were wide in surprise when he pulled away, though she didn't mind the sudden rush of affection.
