Chapter 18 "This is Akamaru."

*THURSDAY, THE DAY OF THE SLUMBER PARTY, YOUR HOUSE*
You leap out of bed and grab your phone checking the time "11:37" you say and run to get dressed, you put on a slightly baggy (color) v-neck and some light blue jeans, clasp your locket into place, and brush your teeth. "12:00" you say checking the time again "They'll be here in two hours" you run down stairs making sure the house is tidy and get everything ready. *an hour and a half later* you had pushed the coffee table back against the wall making sure people could still set things down but left enough floor space for sleeping on, there were two couches on either side of your living room and an overstuffed recliner towards the back, on the coffee table were all of the pocky boxes from the night before and a bowl of chips along with some empty glasses and the soda bottle, on the floor of the kitchen were two small bowls, one with water and the other with the Red brand dog food. You don't really know what to do now so you flop onto a couch and watch tv until your friends arrive. *half an hour later* "BUZZZZ" the door bell rings, you squeal and switch off the tv running to the door. You fling it open to see all six of your friends gathered on your porch with backpacks and sleeping bags etc. "HI EVERYBODY!" You yell and run out for a group hug leaving the door wide open. They all laugh and you lead them inside giving a quick tour of your small house. "Ok you guys, we'll be sleeping in the living but if you want you can just dump your stuff in my room for now." You say grinning, they give nods and ok's and go up the stairs one by one to deposit their things. As you wait you hear an unusual noise and turn around to see an enormous dog standing behind you, it barks and you scream and hide behind the island in the kitchen. The group comes downstairs to see what happened and you peek over the counter. "(Your name) what's wrong?!" Hinata says in a panic you point at the large brown and white dog still standing in the hallway. They all turn towards the beast and Kiba and Naruto crack up with laughter. You stand, confused and slowly walk towards them "He he he hahahaaa" Kiba and Naruto calm down a bit and Kiba looks at you with tears in his eyes from laughing and then walks to the dog and pets it. "(Your name)," Shikamaru speaks up with a grin, "this is Akamaru." You turn towards the monster mutt and Kiba laughing still while petting it. Akamaru barks again at the sound of his name and you slowly walk over to him. "Wow Kiba..." You say a bit shocked "I thought he would be way smaller." Kiba finally stops laughing and looks to you with a smile "Yep this is Akamaru, Akamaru meet (your name)."

The romance will finally begin in the next two chapters or so, they will probably be long too.
