Chapter 19 "I like you"

*YOUR HOUSE, STILL THURSDAY 3:00 PM*
"Oh, hello Akamaru." You say and crouch down to pet him, he sniffs your hand and licks it as a sign that it's ok and you reach up and pat his head. "Oh Kiba, there's food and water for him on the floor in the kitchen." You tell him standing up "Alright thanks" Kiba says grinning again ok, you turn back to everybody else, "Who wants to watch Wolf Children?" (An anime movie) You ask "What's that?" Neji questions and you explain a quick summary of the movie, you had gotten it on DVD a few nights before but had yet to watch it so you didn't know what to expect yourself. They all agree and you lead them to the living room and let them know they can help themselves to the food on the coffee table as you put the movie in. You and Hinata sat on the floor in front of the tv while the boys took the couches and chair with Akamaru at Kiba's feet. (Seating arrangements; you with Hinata to your right at the front with Sasuke and Naruto on the left behind you and and Neji and Kiba on the right with Shikamaru kicked back in the recliner in the back.) *30 mins into the movie* you and Hinata are crying your eyes out as you sit there on the floor hugging together and you are certain you hear sniffling from behind you. The movie was far sadder than you expected, but it still seemed like a good movie. All of a sudden you get a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach, like somebody is watching you. You pull away from a crying Hinata with still a few tears in your eyes as well and turn around to see Sasuke, though crying just a tiny bit himself, staring at you. He realizes you noticed him and he snaps back to the movie with what looks like a slight red tint to his cheeks, you flush red and turn back to the movie also thinking you probably just imagined it. But while nobody else did, Shikamaru noticed this little exchange and smirked to himself wiping his wet face. *after the movie, 5:00 pm* "Ok guys, well we've still got some time to kill before dinner, how about a board game?" You suggest. *20 mins later* you and the group had been playing clue for a while now and since there was a max of six players, you let the others play while you get started on dinner. Sasuke, who lost during round 2 on purpose because he started to get bored, came into the kitchen to watch and assist with the cooking if necessary, but you were making spaghetti, it was a fairly simple dish and you didn't need help, so Sasuke simply leaned against the counter watching you work. "Would you like a drink or something?" You ask as you add the pasta to the boiling water "Sure, I guess just a glass of water." He replies and you nod blushing slightly and set the timer for the pasta, you grab a glass out of the cupboard and walk over to the tap to fill it, as you nervously carry the glass back to him you trip over your own feet and fall. You squeak and brace yourself for the floor but then you hit something else, something firm but softer than the floor as the glass falls from your hand with a thud to the carpet. You open your eyes and find yourself staring up into Sasuke's deep black eyes. You blush a deep red and he does the same, helping you up. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" You say realizing you got water on his dark blue shirt and tan shorts. It's no big deal" he says looking down at his clothes "um here, come with me" you say and lead him upstairs to the linen closet on the left side of the hallway. "Here, I'm sorry." You apologize again handing him a towel from the closet, he smiles and thanks you drying himself off, you nod and turn away embarrassed. He hands the towel back to you and you hang it up on a hook in the closet but as you close the door and turn back to him he put his hands on your shoulders and you jump, looking at him. He lowers his voice, "(Your name)?" "Huh?" You ask a little nervous "There's something I've been wanting to tell you." "Ok, what is it Sasuke?" You say getting a little anxious, you can't see his face because he is looking at the ground. "I like you. I like you a lot."

(Writers notes) sorry I haven't updated the past couple days, I just didn't really know where to go from the last chapter but I just whipped this up real quick trying to get the story up and running again. To make up for the past two days I made this one extra long and chapter 20 will be up real soon too. I hope you like it!
