Your POV

It was warm and the sun shining down on me warmed me quickly. My nose wrinkled at the scent of alcohol and crisp clean sheets. Slowly, I opened my eyes, the sun shining annoyingly at just the right angle to nearly blind me- making me squeeze my eyes shut again. I noticed then that my face stung, my body was sore and heavy.

"Ugh... Where am I?" I asked, croaking out the question. Merlin's beard my throat felt like I had swallowed something razor.

"Y/N?"

Hearing his voice again, filled me with a burst of energy. I opened my eyes and attempted to sit up, a heavy pain rushing through my weak body.

"You're in the hospital wing, we took you here after the trial" Sebastian was quick and reached around me and re-adjusted the pillow, and helped me settle back in. I was in a tiny bed in the hospital wing, certainly not made to the same quality of my bed back at the common room. But they did smell nicer- no thanks to the stupid pranks other students would do.

Sebastian and Ominis had positioned themselves on each side of my bed, both looking positively exhausted. I wondered how long I was out for.

"Two days" Ominis answered, "You were out for two days" His brow wrinkled with worry. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked

"Sore... a little beaten, I feel as though I had a rough night, I miss my bed" I answered, turning my attention to Sebastian. He looked worse, his eyes were deeply sunken and red and messy hair.

"We.... We took turns watching over you" Sebastian rubbed the back of his head, his endearing quality I had missed seeing.

"I see... thank you" I smiled at them, reaching out and squeezing each of their hands.

"I heard the challenge had something to do with the Hufflepuff house" Ominis mentioned, releasing my hand and settling back on the stool

"Yes, I heard that too, I think... I think I was supposed to demonstrate my loyalty to you guys, no matter the outcome" thinking back to the challenge, I couldn't think of any other Hufflepuff trait that I would have demonstrated back then.

"I assume if you ignored it, you wouldn't be led anywhere and obviously if you followed the voices you were met with enemies... so that you would be more deterred from following the voice" I said outloud

"That would make sense why Charlotte showed up after you" Sebastian murmured "She's a Hufflepuff"

"And who showed up after?" I asked

"Leander Prewit" Sebastian answered, "Andrew was injured pretty badly, he was sent to St. Mungo's"

"Injured? Must have been extensive to be sent there"

"Word is he stayed in there for much too long, when the rest of you exited the enemies swarmed him and had to be pulled out" Ominis said in a low tone. "Trust me when I say this, we are extremely glad that wasn't you"

"Me too... I was set on ignoring your cries of pain until they used Sebastian" I admitted, recalling the moment I had decided to ignore everything, but my mindset just couldn't allow it.

"I heard he might be too injured to participate in the next challenge" Ominis turned towards me and shrugged "Less competition for you I suppose"

"I don't even want to think about the next challenge right now" I muttered, "It's terribly taxing on me- not to mention we need to deal with the curse breaking and such" I pressed my face into my hands, groaning at the thought
