Chapter 3

                         One week later

" come in red eclipse do you read me" came Jake's voice in my ear piece " red eclipse to devil dog I read you" I replied letting Jake know I heard him. me and nyx my drakonly she was a type of ikran a cousin species to be exact their lungs and saliva had adapted to be able to breathe fire to withstand devils mountains harsh cold mountain peaks nyx was a deep purple color with black markings her eyes were a light blue color small white spots dotted her skin like stars and on one of her large bat like wings was a white crescent it took up half he left wing " train's heading to you in 10" rattled of Jake off in my ear I heard the sound of groaning tracks they had to be about a mile away from me but I could hear them clearly then from the cliff we were on I saw the train burst out from the opposite side of the field in the distance I heard neytiri give a chirping sound and that was our queue nyx pushed herself up into the air unfurling her four huge wings and glided down to the train our job was stop and derail the train so that the ground squad could take the supplies in it this was one of the more peaceful yet impactful ideas I thought of that Jake chose to go with but I still thought hitting them where it hurts the most was a way better idea but hey what can I do when I'm only a 19 year old girl giving advice to Turuk Mokto even if she were a skilled strategist in his eyes she was still that sweet little girl he taught to use a bow she plunged down turning to be a lined with the train some soldiers in the helicopters tried shooting at the over sized lizard but it was a waste of bullets since her people knew of ways to make armor not only for her people but for their companions as well nyx wacked the tail of the helicopter to her right with her tail causing it to spin out of control and crash on the ground exploding on impact she then opened her mouth and shot a blast of lava on the train tracks the train with no where left to go derailed and crashed into the cliff's base " train secured ground team move in we got 5 minutes" Jake said through the ear piece with the train derailed all that was left for Ni'awtu to do is be a look out as she circled around the mission site she saw her two best friends Neteyam and Lo'ak she didn't really care all to much until she over heard what they were talking about " bro we've got to get down there" came lo'ak's voice " no way dad will skin us" said neteyam I flew closer coming up just behind lo'ak " come on bro just do your job I did not give your dad a whole speech for you to prove me wrong" Ni'awtu said and she was speaking some truth she had talked to Jake about letting them go on a mission convincing Jake for neteyam was easy but for lo'ak the girl needed to give him a whole speech it was exhausting and it took 3 days but she did it and he was about to ruin it " come on don't be a wuss" said boy commented flying down to the site " lo'ak get back here you" neteyam yelled to his brother " your brother is a skxawng" ni'awtu said flying down after lo'ak " yeah tell me something I don't know" he replied following both to the ground " guys let's go come on" lo'ak said as they landed running towards the action ignoring the shouts of his name that his brother and best friend gave him when they reached where they were handing out guns to take with them a na'vi man gave lo'ak a gun " here boy take it now go" he said everyone was in a rush it was a quick mission ni'awtu had calculated how much time they were going to have ahead of time so she knew that there wasn't much time as lo'ak took the gun he let out holler " lo'ak, you don't even know how to use it" said neteyam grabbing his arm and pulling him closer to their little group ni'awtu snatched it from his hands inspecting it she then switched the safety on loaded the gun and started pointing it around to get a feel of the weapon it was heavy but she was use to moving heavy stuff so it didn't affect her when she turned around both looked in awe " your dad showed me here now that you've got yourself a little toy can we go if i calculated correctly back up should be coming soon" and as if on cue they did gunships bounding around the corner of a large rock stack came shooting down on them ni'awtu took the gun switching the safety off and turned to them " go go go go!" She yelled at them the trio started to run trying to find any cover they could ni'awtu looked back and shot the ship down as best she could but then they shot a missile heading straight behind them she let go of the gun the strap kept it on her back she looked around and saw a piece of metal that stuck out of the ground and thought it the best cover she ran faster to catch up with the two and grabbed their queue she knew it was a little harsh but she needed them to be safe she wouldn't lose another person she loves to a mission again " come on!" She yelled pulling them under the metal then all they heard was a loud boom and lots of debris coming down on them laying down behind the piece lo'ak to her right as both her and neteyam covered them in hopes to at least keep the injury's to a minimum ni'awtu let out a hiss as a large piece of metal flew past and scratched her back " nini " both boys gasped " I'm fine come let's get out of here before the adrenaline rush wears off" she told them pushing herself off the ground and starting to walk towards where she remembered them coming from both boys got up following her and watching in case she needed help soon the boys father came rushing from the opposite direction " what are y'all doing here" Jake said looking over the three as he saw ni'awtu's wound he cursed " forget it come let's go back" he said grabbing the girl and putting her on his back but all ni'awtu could think about was how Jake was definitely give her a whole speech saying he was right

~ time skip ~

" Fall in" came jakes voice as we landed great know we're going to be lectured again " you're supposed to be spotters and you you're supposed to be in the air ready to take down anything they spot which also means you spot bogeys and you call them in FROM A DISTANCE does that sound familiar" shouted Jake jeez you'd think he'd just be glad they didn't die this had been a normal sight for ni'awtu. lo'ak and her would go out and do something dangerous and neteyam or wokan would go and protect them always taking the blame for it but this was a first for ni'awtu to not listen to orders on a mission but she couldn't let them go alone without anyone with proper mission training to go with them " Jesus I let nini talk me into letting you two geniuses fly a mission and you disobey direct orders" came jakes voice again. kiri came towards the three looking them over inspecting the wounds neteyam and ni'awtu got on the mission as kiri poked the large scratch like gashes on ni'awtu's back her ears twitched and her tail wrapped around kiri's arm in attempt to stop the pain " oh nini" kiri said looking and grimacing at the sight " kiri, can you go help your grandmother with the wounded" came Jake he didn't want her here while he dug into them " my brother had best friend are wounded" kiri said giving Jake an are you serious look " babygirl please tuk go with her go" he ushered both girls away " sir I take full responsibility" neteyam spoke up he always took the blame being the oldest " no sir I take responsibility I had been on way more mission's than they have I should've kept them in line and on track" ni'awtu said though technically she didn't have anything to do with it and she could've let them go alone but they were like her brothers so she wouldn't have let them go alone " no nini neteyam is to take the blame you might have more experience but he is the oldest and should be looking out for the both of you" Jake said giving the girl an exasperated sigh she was right she did have more experience and though she was already a full fledge warrior she would still be the little girl he treated as his own daughter " Ma Jake" came neytiri " your son and niece are actually bleeding" she said giving him a displeased look " Mother we're fine right nini" said neteyam sounding a little tired " yeah neytiri it's fine" ni'awtu said looking off to the side Jake looked at them both a little worry in his eyes and looked down " just go get patched up you two you're dismissed" Jake said neytiri put a hand on the back of both teenagers gently pushing them to their tent as neytiri gave a look to her youngest son Jake walked closer " you do understand that you not only Almost got your brother killed you also got ni'awtu involved to right " came Jake staring lo'ak down " yes sir" lo'ak said a bit of guilt in his voice he never wanted anyone to get hurt he just wanted to help out a little more get some action really " your grounded no flying for a month" said Jake " now see to the ikran all of them" he demanded looking his younger son in the eyes " yes sir" lo'ak said he couldn't really say much else when his dad was decided he was set " and get that crap off your face" Jake finished walking off lo'ak looked off walking to get started and gave a tired heavy sigh

~time skip~

" ow OW" was all you could hear as Mo'at silently worked on her grandson's wounds a bit away kiri was taking care of ni'awtu's wounds but said girl was sitting still the only sign she was awake was her ears and tail flicking back and forth every so often when she was in pain " aww want a kiss on your  boo boo" spider taunted he thought it was funny neteyam was being such a big baby " give him this" kiri told tuk putting something in the girls hands " okay" replied tuk walking over to neteyam " I would use yalna bark" kiri told her grandma " oh you would and who is tsahik" was Mo'at's response " you are grand... move" kiri said about to respond to her grandma but having to move lo'ak out of the way " you are grandmother but yalna bark is better" kiri finished saying then finishing the last wound on ni'awtu and moving to her brother " Ow ow" came neteyam again " it stings less" she finished giving her brother a sad look " oh come on teyam's a mighty warrior I'm sure he can handle a little pain" ni'awtu chided she got up and walked to stand in front of neteyam a bit she then sat down and grabbed his hand " remember tey tey mighty warrior" she said all the kids started laughing this was something ni'awtu would say to him when they were kids and got small scratches "oh shut up you're no better especially when you're ears and tail just have minds of their own" said neteyam as he flicked ni'awtu's ear and gently pulled her tail ni'awtu jumped up in a playful way ears pinned back and tail flicking back and forth  she gave a hiss it was a little deep and snake like hiss and when her lips parted you could see her sharp pointed canine they were so sharp and slightly curved it looked like if she bit you she would latch on and never let go but all anyone could do was laugh cause it was true but it was such a cute habit no one minded
