Chapter 8

          ~last day in the forest~
Today was the day we all left for the na'vi of the sea me, Jake, and norm had searched all digital maps of pandora and it seemed that the readers only went so far and had never been able to get past a few miles past the sea before it ended so we all agreed that this was a good option currently I was finishing packing the rest of my stuff on nyx while everyone else was at the ceremony I wanted to be there but I felt it would be better if just gave my goodbyes to the few people I knew besides the sully's mostly being the avatars, scientists and Mo'at soon the sully's came along trailing behind of course the rest of the clan Mo'at was staying with the clan I didn't ask why I could already understand her reasoning this was her home these were her people and I'm sure she'd be damned if she let some "demons" run her away from it " ready to see some new places guys" I asked lo'ak, neteyam, and kiri  tuk was in neytiri's arms from my guess crying " honestly I'm a little excited I mean I'll miss the forest this our home we all grew up her but going somewhere we've never been before is interesting" lo'ak said I thought he'd be interested especially since he didn't have much going on here really being labeled the troublemaker and all " honestly I don't want to leave but if it's to protect the people and our family I can deal with leaving the forest for a while" neteyam said he was looking out into the wide stretch of water in front of us and honestly that sounded like a really him thought but I could tell he was already missing his home even before he left it I had looked at kiri hoping she also had something to say but she just looked away I could already feel the sadness emanating from her remembering something my grandma told me I walked over to Jake " Jake  my grandma told me eywa showed her some visions recently and wanted me to ask if you still had the pouch" I didn't really know what this was about but if my grandma had a vision then it could really mean a number of things but to ask me to ask about a pouch was a little weird albeit but she usually wasn't wrong so " I see when you get a chance to send a letter tell her I still have it" Jake said showing me the small baggie tucked between his arm band it was worn a bit and seemed old but it wasn't really any of my business " go on get on nyx we're leaving" Jake told me as he Ushered me to said lizard as I got near the saddle I opened up the medium sized pouch I had attached next to it inside was the little kit I was taking with me thankfully he survived the night an after eating some meat and filling his stomach he was staring to look and probably feel better I had put some soft cloth and things in the pouch so she could feel comfortable during the whole thing currently she was curled into a ball a sleeping soundly if being cute was a hunting tactic the I'd have to say she nailed it after climbing up on nyx I got in position then we finally flew off out in to the far of sea where we had hoped to find peace and safety we were All looking back taking in our last glimpse of what we knew as home I could already see the sadness and longing shining through everyone's eyes all I could hope was that wherever we were going would hopefully soon turn into our own home with good memories

                             ~time skip~

We had passed through storms and strong winds from harsh thrashing oceans to bone chilling cold but finally finally we were on friendly seas and clear waters with beautiful cloudless skies soon we came upon an island as we flew high above it below were the metkyina as we flew past the rock pools many of the na'vi pointed and looked on in curiosity but it didn't feel like we were going to be warmly welcomed I don't like what I'm seeing but it's better to watch and see maybe I'll get a better grasp of how they feel when I'm closer and just when I was about to look for a better landing spot a horn if I'm hearing correctly blew obviously signaling where to land as we flew closer to where the sound was coming from there was a large but small sand spot where a couple rocks protruded from and where it seemed most of the clan had gathered I pressed on the com on my pressure point " Jake you guys land first nyx is to big to land especially with people in the way just land and try and give us enough room while you can" I spoke through the coms Jake didn't respond audibly but he did turn his head back and gave a nod as Jake flew a little closer to neytiri he let her know what was happening and as everyone began to land Jake had told them to spread around in a line to create a space for nyx there we go girl land right behind them and be easy we don't wanna hurt anyone I told nyx through our bond as she began landing already a circle had been formed around us I noticed the na'vi were already looking us up and down not to mention it didn't help that I was wearing my mask but the winds were harsh and I wasn't trying to get a face full of wind as we all began climbing off Jake started walking forward with his arms in the air as if he surrendered and walked slowly in the middle of the circle wow if anyone could look any weirder " hey leave it, on me" Jake said neytiri had gone for her bow and I was just about to do the same until he said something but jokes on him my daggers were still in their holsters that were loosely hanging of my hips neytiri had also called tuk closer to her and honestly I didn't blame her we didn't know these people and we sure as shit didn't really trust them as more people crowded around and we kept walking I decided to stick behind neteyam and lo'ak if anything was to happen I knew it would be something to do with the boys because let's be honest it's always going to be the boys who get intimidated as we walked closer and the circle began to close in around us two boys started to walk out of the crowd the first one was tall he easily towered over the second one and me for that matter his hair had been braided and put in a bun he was interesting to say the least but he walked with an arrogance and his pride oozed from his body albeit a very nice body the second boy was short and his hair was the same it looked like he and beanstalk yeah that's a good name until I know it but it looked like they were friends as they continued their little stare down as the passed by me, neteyam, and lo'ak neteyam, and lo'ak gave them both the physical sign of 'I see you' I just stood straight with my chest puffed I would show respect when they showed the same and wouldn't you know it they didn't they walked by both of them with out so much as a real acknowledgment of their kindness yea I'm really no going to like them I thought as I narrowed my eyes behind the mask " look. What is that is that supposed to be a tail" the sprout said as he pointed at lo'ak's and neteyam's tail oh yeah he is so on my list I wasn't liking the way we were getting treated right now sure our builds were different but we were all the same in the corner of my eye I noticed lo'ak looking at something or should I say someone as I followed his gaze I noticed a girl a very pretty one who might have caught his eye hmm definitely gonna tease about this later but soon I was pulled away as the shrimp started talking again " it's to small how are they supposed to swim" he said and right in that moment he crossed the line his hand was currently hovering above neteyams tail getting ready to grab and/or pull it and that wasn't happening so in a quick motion your tail whipped out and planted a painful enough whack on his hand not enough to draw blood though if you weren't here for a place to live you would've without a second thought but like you thought he would he acted like a big baby and let out a yelp pulling his hand back and backed away in hurt and shock the same pretty girl was actually in the process of getting ready to reprimand him to but I had already done the deed " enough rotox, aunong" she said not missing a single beat so that's their names I think shrimp and beanstalk would fit better as the girl and shrimp started talking to each other probably him complaining that he did nothing and that someone had did something to him first beanstalk was already following were my tail which was still protecting theirs all the way over my body I could see a few emotions crossed his eyes but was quickly masked with a fire fueled with disdain and challenge and I looked right back at him with a cold unwavering glare if he could see it and just when the stare off was getting heated all I hear is a attempted low nonchalant voice say hey and I all to well knew whose voice it was my head never whipped around so quickly my mask had actually slipped off I hadn't tightened it at all so It would've been rather easy  as my mask fell off my hair which was tied back with three large braids two on each side of my head and one down the middle of course this excluded that braid I wasn't really planning to take it out even he was dead and besides traditionally another who would've liked to court me would have to take it out and do the same as we did which I was more the certain wouldn't happen especially not with guys like those two my face on display for all to see and all could see as my jaw basically went slack and my eye widened in pure shock and aww lo'ak the snot nosed annoying trouble maker was trying to flirt right now and in front of almost what seemed like the whole clan I.was.speechless so I looked to neteyam hoping to confirm what I heard and as I thought he was already looking at me with a smirk and a look that said look at this man and that was all I needed suddenly three fish bird creatures with riders on top flew over us and then landed close by in the water and a buff dude got off one of the creatures and started to walk to us I guess that's the olo'eyktan as he got closer he walked up to Jake a both exchanged greetings and as he continued to walk towards the front of the circle we all greeted him in the same way and I could tell he was not like his people he was willing to give us a chance but I wasn't worried about him no I was worried about her I knew she would be difficult especially since we were not built to thrive here but all I could do was trust jake and as she walked through the crowd the all made way for her path ronal now she I was worried about she was much less accepting than her counterpart and it showed cause she let it be shown and as she approached closer we gave her the same respectful greetings " why do come to us Jake sully" tonowari said as he put his arm out as if to tell Jake to say what it is he needed " we seek uturu" jake said while he looked back at us and then looked back at the couple oh eywa that is not how you ask Jake we practiced this and just like that ronal repeated the word as if it was a ridiculous thing to ask and looked up at tonowari " yes sanctuary for my family" Jake said from where I was I could hear and tell he looked pleadingly at them then ronal walked forward tonowari looked to his wife as she walked into our little group I already knew what she was doing she was examining us every little thing tonowari began to speak but all I could focus on was ronal I didn't know what she was going to do and I didn't want to be on her bad side but it is hard to respect a leader that cannot look past differences and couldn't attempt change as the slowly walked around us all she scanned over the boys and me she stopped when she saw me but decided to continue and walk over grabbing neytiri's tail my ear twitched I didn't like that but still I held still neteyam watched me in the corner of his eye there was a slight warning behind it but he should know by now no matter what I will always be protective and then she grabbed tuks arm and loudly announced " their arms are thin" another twitch but this time my tail moved to sway behind me sometimes pushing the sand up then she grabs kiri's tail gripping it hard enough for kiri to move and utter a sound of hurt " their tails are weak, you will be slow in the water" she said as she looked to jake I started to slowly stalk forward as my ears twitched and my tail started to sway around more frantically and angrily but then there was a sudden tap on my leg it was neteyam with another look that told me to keep it cool he knew I was about to say or do something and was trying to get me to keep it together but then finally the straw that broke the camels back " these children are not even true Na'vi" she said as she grabbed both kiri's hands holding them up for all to see kiri looked to Jake pleadingly as everyone gasped oh no she did not how dare she I'm sure everyone had heard of what happened in the forest of Jake but she dare have the audacity to say that you're best friends who were indeed true na'vi through and through wasn't yea she was going down i began to take big steps I was right beside neteyam when he grabbed my arm " nini don't remember like a breeze let it blow up and over your body" he whispered I was protective that was a fact I cared for those close to me and despised those who hurt them and often times I would get into fights for this reason so wokan and neteyam came up with this technique to try and make me calm I was to treat it like the wind like a breeze that blew on me but ultimately would go around my body but then " THEY HAVE DEAMON BLOOD" ronal yelled for all to and that was it i stomped over to her yanked lo'ak's hand from her grasp as she held it for a to see and gave her a deep hiss right in her face ears entirely pinned back and tail going absolutely wild she looked surprised for all of two seconds and began baking up giving her own hiss " they are true na'vi and they may have demon blood but from what I have seen they are far more better than your precious full blooded na'vi" i said taking more steps to her and gave her another hiss she didn't miss a beat she gave one back and began circling you " of course you would say that something like you I bet you were a failed demon creature" she spit back I guess she  thought since I was with them I too had demon blood but guess what nope so I hissed back and stood proudly and tall " I am ni'awtu Daughter of dra'hoal the fearless and Kira the thoughtful olo'eyktan and tsahik of the dracarys clan" I said loudly and proudly as I looked around at everyone and then looked at ronal I saw a tinge of astonishment and intrigue that was then masked with a stern look " then tell me what are you doing with the sully's have your people abandoned you" she said and started circling me she grabbing my arm " no I have come with the sully's because they are family I wouldn't leave them in a time of need" as I finished my sentence she looked up at me after examining my arm and walked behind me she began bringing her hand to me tail but before she could grab it it moved she looked up at and gave a hard stare " I wouldn't if i were you it could get a bit dangerous" as I spoke those words I flicked my tail and just like that the spikes were unleashed ronal took a step back and brought a hand up to her stomach and everyone else beside the sully's gasped I understood it was really a sight many had heard of my people but very few people had seen or even had a conversation with " look look, ok we get it we aren't exactly a ideal fit for your clan but we can adapt, ok" Jake said trying to get ronal to see past the differences but neytiri had a better idea " my husband was Toruk Makto" and just as she said those words Jake grimaced " he led the clans to victory against the sky people" she finished looking between ronal and tonowari " this you call victory hiding among strangers" ronal says as she walks closer to neytiri this provoked me none of these people had faced any danger of sky people they had been to far and besides the tulkun hunting that was the most sky people damage they saw " yes tsahik ronal this is what victory is there is no happiness without pain without sacrifice and suffering do you not think this pains us we have left our home for safety and peace we have left the people we love and care about so that the peace would continue we have seen the things sky people do they do not care they do not give they only take and they only harbor greed only when eywa touches their heart do they see but there will never be a victory without loss" you speak up you didn't know it but you had stopped the two bickering lady's ronal looked at you she could see that you had seen many things both good and bad and she could tell you did the best you could with the life you were given but it wasn't just her a little more into the crowd at the front a certain tall bun haired boy was also looking at you he thought you were a beauty and you're voice he loved it but he couldn't you weren't apart of the clan and even worse you weren't a metkayina but a dracarys a na'vi cursed by eywa and you were even a family friend of the freaks who showed up on his islands to seek uturu he couldn't not when you and them could bring unwanted trouble to his people and he didn't want that

Ok so I got carried away and ended up not getting to the whole acceptance into the the clan and stuff but def next chapter I'm gonna go to sleep now I was up all night writing this so enjoy
