Violet was back in her seat about five minutes later, Ginny leaned in to whisper;

"Have a good snogging session?"
Violet almost choked on the air she breathed in. "What? Oh Godric no!"

"Ha! I told you, you're not getting any sickles!" Aubrie smirked as she kept her hand on her pocket.

Violet looked at the two girls in question with a suspicious look.

"Oh, nothing.." Aubrie grinned as she slapped Ginny from her coin purse. "Oh look, Cedric's coming out!"

The crowd started cheering very loudly, chanting Cedric's name as he came out of the tent to face his dragon.

"Ah yes, Cedric Diggory! Our first Hogwarts champion...facing the Swedish Short-Snout..."

Cedric looked nervous, but confident. Violet knew he practically had a day to think of the right thing to do.

"Let's see what've you got Mr. Diggory!" Mr. Bagman shouted into his wand, projecting his voice.

Almost immediately, Cedric pulled out his wand and pointed at a rock, narrowly missing the dragon's line of fire. "Ooh! That was a close call!"

Cedric had kept aiming for a rock but missing when the dragon noticed his hesitance, and breathed fire towards him.

"Oooh, narrow miss there, very narrow...he's taking risks that one!"

Soon enough, Cedric was close enough to a rock where he transformed the rock into a Golden Retriever, causing the dragon to become distracted with it's barks.

"Ah! Smart boy! Professor McGonagall must be shedding some tears at a perfect transfiguration spell!"

Everyone was watching Cedric and the dragon closely, some more focused on the rock-dog that they didn't notice that Cedric dived and grabbed the egg. Once everyone had cheered, the dragon's attention had diverted from the rock-dog and looked towards Cedric and the golden egg.
