The school talked about nothing other than Sirius Black the last couple of days. The theories about how he was able to get in have been getting crazier and even weirder than the last. Hannah Abbott began telling everyone who'd listen that Black had to ability to turn into a shrub.

Meanwhile, The Fat Lady's ripped canvas was taken off the wall to be repaired, and the portrait was replaced with a portrait of Sir Cadogan and his fat grey pony. To which no one was excited about, while Violet didn't see what was wrong, she quickly learned why everyone was not excited about it.

"That is not the password!"
"Let me in or I swear-" Violet started.
"It's Oddsbodikins!" shouted Hermione.

However, Sir Cadogan was the least of Harry's worries. When Harry told his friends what he overheard that night Black broke into the castle. They all looked the same, confused and not sure what Snape meant with his words.

Other than that, Harry was now noticing that he was being closely followed. Teachers now found ways to follow him throughout corridors and Percy has now taken liberty (although by Mrs. Weasley's orders, Harry thought) to tail Harry everywhere he went, acting like a pompous guard dog.

Professor McGonagall also summoned Harry into her office one night, with a somber expression that Harry had to assume someone had just died.

"There's no point in hiding it from you anymore Potter," she said, in a serious voice. "I know this will come to a shock to you, but Sirius Black-"

"I know he's after me," said Harry wearily. "I heard Mr and Mrs. Weasley arguing over it. Mr Weasley works for the Ministry of Magic."

Professor McGonagall looked relieved, as though she was glad she was the one not to tell him the news. She stared at Harry for a minute before saying, "Well, in that case, Potter, you'll understand why I don't think it's a good idea for you to practice Quidditch in the evenings. Out on the pitch with only your team members, it's very exposed Potter-"

"We've got our first match on Saturday!" said Harry, outraged. "I've got to train, Professor!"

Professor McGonagall considered him intently. Harry knew she was just as interested as the next in Gryffindor's team aspects. It had been she who had appointed him as the Seeker. Harry waited in his seat impatiently, holding his breath.
