"Mind telling me why you're here?"

Jungkook leaned on the doorframe, his shirt fitted everywhere but his arms, the sleeve tightening in all the right places. He raised his brow and leaned forward, but Taehyung didn't budge, his hands still on the door ready to slam it shut at any given moment. "Not a morning person?" Jungkook teased.

"I just find it weird you're at my door and not already inside."

"Sweetheart I didn't know you wanted me this bad-"

"Since you always seem to be here uninvited and usually use my windows like a freak," Taehyung finished his sentence.

Jungkook rolled his eyes, "I promised you not to do that again."

Taehyung let out a huff and turned back around knowing Jungkook would follow him regardless if he invited him in or not. "What are you doing here, seeing you at the building is more than enough."

"Ouch, words really do hurt."

He held onto his chest, squeezing his shirt, like he physically got hit. Picking up Taehyung's jacket thrown on the floor haphazardly and replacing it with a thicker one inside the small closet (like he owned the apartment), he handed it over. "Get ready, we have some errands to run that are important."

It wasn't long before they were both out, Jungkook bought pastries from a couple blocks down and they shared it on a run down bench, downing it with coffee. It wasn't as awkward as Taehyung had thought it would be. Of course the secret glances Jungkook was pulling wasn't clearly his forte because Taehyung had caught every single one. Just as they finished they heard a small whimper coming from behind. Taehyung was the first to divert his attention, his head snapping back to where it came from. A fragile looking stray stepped closer, limping slowly towards them. Taehyung let out a loud gasp, before quickly walking over.

He let his coffee down and bent forward observing the stray for a while, he could quickly see that the dog was malnourished and had been for quite a while. Pain had flashed across his face.

Jungkook watched as Taehyung had the same hurt look on his face. A dog person.

He was bad but he wasn't a crazy ruthless cold-blooded demon that would overlook the animal that clearly needs help. He followed Taehyung's movements and crouched next to him, who was gently scratching the dog's head, whispering comforting words. He was hesitating to say something, a quick couple glances at Jungkook and then the purse of his lips would determine it. His hands shook as he tried to pick up the stray, before hearing another whimper and letting go immediately.

"I think the little fella also broke his leg," he whispered.

Jungkook sighed looking at his phone, coincidently his phone chimed signalling a message from Namjoon.

The errands need to be done faster than usual, don't waste time.

Jungkook checked the time in the corner and locked his phone. He was about to tell Taehyung to let the police deal with it, but just as fast as the thought came it disappeared with one look at his face, in pure devastation. His lips were pulled down and his free hand was clenched beside him.

Jungkook let out another sigh and took his jacket off. "Come on little guy, let's get you checked," he hummed. He laid his jacket on the floor and gestured for the stray to walk on it. Once the dog sat comfortably, he wrapped the jacket around him and slowly picked it up. Even if he let out more cries, he couldn't do much about it. "It's okay you're a strong one." He gently passed him on to Taehyung and wrapped the arms of his jacket around his neck, tying it tightly, like Taehyung was holding a baby in his arms. "I know a vet nearby, come on let's go."
