A couple days passed without word from Jungkook, he made sure to visit the main house during Taehyung's university hours so they wouldn’t clash, he wasn't avoiding him per se but slight inconveniences to his schedules were being made intentionally.

"you're avoiding Taehyung aren't you?" Jin asked, midway through reading his files. Jungkook flicked his eyes at him and then back down to his own forms not bothering to answer. "You know you can't avoid him forever right," he went on, not understanding, or choosing to ignore the meaning of the silencing queues Jungkook was hinting at him. He held his silence again. "I heard he's going on a date."

"What?"

"So you are listening."

"fuck you."

"I wasn't lying about the date, he had to postpone a meeting with Namjoon tonight because of it," he leaned back against his chair and raised his brow, his head not moving from a tilted position gawking Jungkook's reaction like a hawk, "Chan I think was the name?"

Jungkook slammed the paper down on the table glaring at Jin.

"Whatever it is you're doing, it isn't going to work,” Jungkook bit back. His anger rose. Lately the control over his temper had been weakened, especially when it involved Taehyung. He heard a knock come through and let out a groan, grunting for the person to come in, he was expecting anyone but the star of the conversation to show up. Erratic hair peeking through.

Jungkook stood up slowly, not sure as to why, a couple of days of avoidance dawned upon him and just how much he missed the other. Taehyung looked better. His eyes were puffy, not from tears but from the lack of sleep Jungkook was familiar with. His eyes moved away from Jungkook's to Jin, his head was lifted as he smiled awkwardly.

Jin took that sign to leave as he cleared his throat and stood up. Collecting his things off Jungkook's desk, he nodded at him with a tight lipped smile. Without another word he slipped outside the door, his silhouette seen through the glass windows before it disappeared.

Jungkook's attention went back to Taehyung awkwardly shifting from one foot to another near the door. His eyes wandered down to his feet back up to his face, he was wearing a leather jacket, tight black trousers and a choker. The look was familiar. His eyes fell to the forms in front of him. "Can I help you?”

Taehyung stepped closer, he wiped his palm on his thighs and firmly clasped them on his forearm hugging himself, "I don't-" he paused, changed his train of thought and took a deep breath in. "I'm going on a date," he stated, "with a guy.”

Jungkook nodded, his hands trembled inside his slack pockets.

“Is that okay with you?" Taehyung asked, his voice hushed down, vulnerable.

Jungkook stayed still, refusing to lock eyes, his voice stuck in his throat.

"Were going for drinks at a bar,” Taehyung carried on once he realised Jungkook wasn’t going to speak. He stepped closer, "might go to his apartment.” Jungkook nodded once. "Thinking about getting drunk, I'm not good with alcohol, I tend to make mistakes," Taehyung laughed, a choked sound came out.

Jungkook stayed still. Taehyung didn't move, he waited. Jungkook looked up and locked eyes and finally spoke, "have fun.” He sat back down, his attention drawn back to the papers in front of him, "Is that all?" he questioned.

It was Taehyung's turn to nod, he stepped away and crossed his arm turning around. His feet were glued to the floor refusing to let him leave, he snapped back around frustration boiling within his body.

"you've been avoiding me," he rightfully accused.

"no I haven't.”

"ever since the day you told me you loved me-"
