Chapter 4 : Portals

As always, Chase was the first one to wake up before the pups. He then went to wake the pups up for breakfast. 

“Of course Chase...I’ll be coming in a while.” Rubble groaned, as he tried to sleep again. “But Rubble, your breakfast is waiting for you. You’d better hurry, or else...it might disappear again.” Chase grinned.

When Rubble heard the word ‘disappear’ from Chase, his eyes shot up and he shouted: “No!! I’m coming right now!!” Rubble quickly got up and ran into the lookout, while Chase laughed. 

Chase then finally arrived at Marshall’s pup house. He saw Marshall and Skye sleeping together, then thought: “Man, these two really are cute sleeping together...” 

He then said: “Hey lovebirds, sleep well?” Skye woke up. “Lovebirds...? What do you m-“ Then only she realised she cuddled on Marshall while they were sleeping. She quickly let go and went out of his pup house, while blushing. 

“Oh, uh, morning Chase.” Skye said in embarrassment. She saw that Marshall was still sleeping. “I guess you had better wake up your ‘boyfriend’ before he gets to sleep even longer.” Chase said, holding his laughter. 

“Oh, shut up...I’m on it.” Skye giggled. She then gently nudged on Marshall and said: “Hey Marshall, wake up. It’s morning...” Marshall then yawned and stretched.

“Good...morning, guys.” Marshall said. He then opened his eyes. Well, he accidentally opened his left eye again. But this time, Marshall showed no signs of pain. 

“Woah, Marshall. Did it not hurt?” Chase then gasped and pointed at his left eye. Marshall then realised he accidentally opened his purple eye again, but he was surprised when it doesn’t hurt his eye. “Huh, you’re right. That’s weird.” Marshall then touched his eye. “I think I managed to cope with this eye...I guess.” 

“But anyways, today we have to tell Ryder about this. Hopefully we can return this eye back to those space aliens!” Chase added. Skye then said: “Yeah, we’ll look for Ryder after we get our breakfast.” Marshall replied: “Good idea, let’s go-“ 

But as Marshall touched the ground with a paw, a huge purple energy portal suddenly appeared under the three pups. “Woah, what the-“ Marshall gasped, but it was too late as the pups fell down into the portal. The portal then closed. 

Zuma and Rocky just happened to past by Marshall’s pup house, without knowing that the three pups had been sent into a portal. They yawned, while walking into the lookout for breakfast. 

As for the three pups...

The portal opened, and the pups got out from the portal. They were seen falling from the sky. The portal above them then closed again. 

“Woah, ahh!!” Marshall gasped, as he found out he was falling from the sky towards the ground. “Marshall, what did you do?!” Chase shouted. 

“I don’t know, I just came out from my house and boom, we fell down into something and here we are!!” Marshall replied in panic. 

“No Marshall, I just saw a portal underneath us before we fell down!!” Skye said. “Portal?! How did- oh no, don’t tell me it’s the eye’s doing again!!” Marshall then realised. He quickly shut his left eye. 

“Oh no, we’re going to crash land!! Skye, quick!! Do something!!” Chase gasped. He saw the ground coming towards them. 

As they were about to crash, Skye quickly flew to them and carried Marshall and Chase with her whirlwind, then slowly landed them on the ground.
