Chapter 29: One-Sided

The moon was entirely filled with blue and light trails, along with explosions, blasts and craters, which you can imagine as if the whole planet was lighting up with lights.

The two pups raced against each other, while clashed their attacks along the way, releasing explosions everywhere.

Rover held his fist and threw a punch at Marshall, which hit his chest hard. A massive shockwave released behind Marshall's back, due to his punch. However, Marshall didn't even flinch to the powerful blow, instead smashing his back with a karate chop, putting him down on the surface of the moon. He then lifted his leg and stomped on his head, which busted another huge crater.

Rover groaned as his whole body was in great pain. "Get away from me, you little...!!!" He became mad and slowly stretched out his left paw, facing to Marshall above him, then let out a huge laser blast.

Marshall quickly blocked it with a force field. Even though he didn't get hit, but the laser beam began pushing him backwards. Marshall then swiftly steered his body out of the way, evading the laser blast in midair and landed back on the moon.

Rover emerged out of the surface of the moon and flew up above Marshall, then charged up his energy and threw a powerful yellow lightning bolt at Marshall at light speed. But unexpectedly, just as the lightning bolt was inches away from Marshall...

He simply grabbed the lightning bolt with his bare paws, then threw it back at Rover above him. Rover was quite shocked by this and he found no time to dodge, as he then got hit by the bolt.

"H-he can grab lightning...?!" Rover grunted.

He landed on the moon, and the next thing he knew, a sudden water shot coming out of nowhere and it grazed on his cheek, which missed and hit on the rock behind him. Despite the graze, it still managed to leave a cut in his cheek.

Soon, many high pressured water blasts shot towards him. Rover growled, then made a huge crystal wall in front of him, blocking all of the water attacks.

But apparently it became a mistake for Rover, as Marshall seized the opportunity and went behind him without Rover knowing, then punch on his back, sending him crashing many huge moon rocks from behind him.

Rover grunted in pain again, then created a portal from behind him, trying to sneak attack Marshall from behind with a punch. But again, Marshall sensed him at the last second, and the two pups punched each other's faces at the same time, creating a massive shockwave between them. The pups then got sent flying into opposite directions.

Marshall crashed on a rock behind him. But as for Rover, he tried confirming Marshall's location and attempted to use the same trick by using the portal to attack Marshall from behind again, but only to found out that Marshall had disappeared from the rock he crashed into earlier...

Before he could even realise what's happening, he quickly turned his head behind him, only to get nailed by a punch on his face, which sent him crashing on the moon hard.

"Since when did..." He then saw Marshall landed in front of him. "When did he get in my portal?!!" He realised that Marshall had already went into the portal right when Rover entered. He couldn't even see him coming.

He slowly got back up again, then recovered his body from the damage. But soon he knew that he couldn't keep playing defence for long, as his energy was about to run out.

"Playtime's over." He growled at Marshall. "No more games...it's time for me to end this."

"Go ahead and try." Marshall replied. "I'll make sure this is as far as you can go."

Back in Planet Utopia...

Skye and the pups returned back to the cabin site. Well, it's a shame that Steve's cabin nearly got demolished due to the bombardment earlier.
