Chapter 9 : Retreat

Rover got back up, as he looked at the pups in disgust. “So that’s your game huh?” He groaned. “Letting those mutts escape so you can fight me here? So you can protect them and let them escape?” 

“We’re not letting you get that eye from Marshall...pup.” Ryder replied. “We’ll do what it means to ruin your goals!!” 

“Wait what eye?” Everest looked at Ryder. “Uh oh, I shouldn’t have said that...” Ryder thought. 

“And Marshall has some sort of eye? What are you talking about Ryder?” Rubble asked Ryder. Ryder was speechless.

“So he didn’t tell you all anything about it, huh.” Rover smirked. Ryder then sighed: “I’ll tell you pups everything later...but for now...” He looked at Rover and added: “We’ve got some business to do first.” 

The pups then turned back at Rover. Rover just said: “Seems like I’ll have to get rid of all of you first, then.” He then activated his left purple eye.

“Ready?” Ryder asked. The pups nodded. They then all charged at Rover. 

“Imbeciles.” Rover mocked, then shot energy blasts at the pups. Tracker quickly summoned huge vines from the ground and blocked the energy blasts from hitting them. 

Rocky then leaped on the air, then launched gigantic energy wrenches at Rover from above. Before Rover could even move, Everest froze him in place. 

“Is that...the best you’ve got?” Rover taunted. Suddenly, his eyes began shooting laser rays at the energy wrenches, destroying them. Rocky saw the laser rays incoming, then quickly made himself an energy shield, protecting him from being hit.

Rover then broke out from the ice that trapped him. Just then, Rubble got in front of him and smashed him hard on the face with a wrecking ball attack, launching him backwards. As he was flying backwards, Zuma hit him from behind with a huge water geyser, sending all the way to Ella’s direction. 

Ella then grew in a humongous size and attempted to threw a huge punch at Rover. Rover quickly teleported out of the way before she could have a chance to squash him. Ella’s punch missed, as she hit on the ground, creating a massive ground shake. 

Rover then arrived behind them. Just before he could attack, Tuck noticed him and shrank himself, then went to his face without him knowing and punched his left purple eye. The hit broke through the purple eye into pieces.

Rover screamed in pain, then held his eye with his paw, as Tuck grew back to his original size. 

Rover grunted for a while, but he then laughed. “Heheh...hahahahahahah!!” He then removed his paw. His purple eye was seen regenerating back to it’s state. “You fool. Did you really think you could destroy this with that pathetic hit of yours?!”

As he got distracted, Rubble sneakily went behind him, then uppercut him hard towards the sky with a punch. Just then, Rocky quickly wrapped Rover’s paw with a created green energy chain, then hurled him down towards the ground. 

Rover then crashed on the ground hard, and Tracker didn’t hesitate to wrap his leg again, then slammed him on the ground again and again. Finally, he launched Rover afar, sending him crashing on a huge rock. 

Before Rover could get up again, Ryder and the pups then took the opportunity and launched energy attacks at Rover on all sides. The energy rays, blasts and tools all hit on Rover, creating a massive explosion. 

Ryder and the pups then landed on the ground and assembled in front of the explosion. 

“I don’t think that’s going to finish him off...” Rubble said. “Did you think we did it?” Tuck asked, looking at the smoke in front of them.
