Today I had decided to go to work earlier and was surprised to see Adam there. "morning" I greeted him and he returned the same greeting. "you and that David man seem close" said Adam "I believe we are, never really quite thought about it" I replied honestly. He smiled and said "I want you to smile for me" I gave him a look of pure confusion "I want to see that smile you only show David" he said. "I'm not sure how to just smile, it usually just happens...well naturally." "I love to see you smile like that" said Adam as he smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back " you see you did it" said Adam. "when I grow old I would like to own a massion with my beautifully wife and our amazing kids" said Adam "I would like to have a life like that too" I replied daydreaming "then you can join me" said Adam "I think that would be most unpleasant to your wife" I replied looking at him confused. He laughed at my confusion and said "I meant as my wife" I looked at him completely awe-struck. He laughed again at my expression, "what's so bad so you think I'd be such a horrible husband" said Adam, I began to franticly shake my head "no! Its not that. It's just we only meet a couple of days ago" "touche, but I will just have to earn your affection." said Adam as he sent me a wink and left and once again my face turned to a dark shade of red.

Adam was acting well strange, he would send me flowers or compliment me during the day. He would also speak about plans for our future, at first it was strange but I began enjoying the attention.

It was lunch and I was sitting besides David, then suddenly Adam appears and he says "hey! Tara I saw this new strawberry milk flavor want to try it out?" but before I could even answer I was being dragged to the vending machine. I spent the rest of my lunch with Adam as he tried to name all the plants in the medical garden, it was quite entertaining and I laughed a couple of times.
I wasnt sure what this was but I enjoyed it, a lot.

I rarely saw David now a days, I was either on shift or with Adam. One day I was feeling very unwell and he did a surprise visit to my house, and we enjoyed a movie together. He said the movie was childish but I quite enjoy myself some Kung fu panda.

After a couple of weeks things progressed, he would visit me very often. He would buy me snacks and gifts, and I very much enjoyed the attention.

Then it happened, one day I was walking into the office when I saw Adam. "hi, Adam" I greeted, he looked at me with a cold gaze and shoved passed me. I was utterly confused, I tried to speak to him at lunch as well but he just ignored me. I began to wonder what I did wrong, and I was determined to find out what.

When I would see him I began to bombard him with questions, but he would just tell me to leave him alone. I was heartbroken he had said such nice things even given nice things now his nothing but a cold hearted person.

Every day was the same I would go to Adam and try to find out what I did wrong, and he would just shrug me off. I began to get less sleep as the question of what I did wrong, haunted me. It was slowly driving me to the point of insanity.

One day I was heading towards the office, "morning" David greeted but I just ignored him and left. I had no idea why I ignored his greeting but I didn't feel like speaking with anyone at this moment.

I was working night shift with Adam, I thought this was my chance to speak with him. The evening was filled with complete silence and before I knew it I cracked, soft delicate tears began flowing down my cheeks. My hands curled into fists as I began hitting Adam on the chest "how could you! You said such nice things! Gave such nice things! I trusted you, you were so kind how could you change into such a heartless monster!" I began to scream as more tears flowed down my cheeks staining his white shirt. "why! Why! Why!" I screamed to his face a smirk then appears on his face as he says "if you really wanted to remain friends with me, you wouldn't have hung out with that David man" he threw my hands off his shirt and walked out. After a while David came in "hey I came to pick you up" said David but I ignored him and walked past him.

The following day I continued ignoring David and was completely surprised when Adam walked up to me and handed me a bouquet of yellow roses. I then smiled the biggest smile I have ever done, I was over the moon.
Adam had finally spoken to me, I was completely jovial.

"this hospital has no respect for great Docter like me, especially when they pay me the peanuts they do" complained Adam, "I know a hospital that plays 5 times more than Sweetcare its called spring fields hospital" "I've heard about that hospital bug I heard it is especially hard to get in." "yeah I know my uncle says they only except the best" "your uncle?" he asks confused "yes he owns spring field hospital" "do you think you could ask him to accept me a job" "I don't think it's fair towards the other candidates trying to get in" he got up and was about to leave before I grabbed his sleeve "wait! No, I'll ask him" I reply. He smiles and says "thank you for being such an amazing friend" I smiled at him and left.

I had spoken to my uncle and then they said they'd hire him on probation. He then came on his last day of work "hey, Adam I hear you got the job" I reply he then shrugs me off and walks past me. "what are you doing?" I ask disorientated, "your still so naive, haven't you gotten the clue. At first I just wanted to hurt you, but then I found out about your uncle and used you to get the job. I love hurting people, it makes me feel so alive. I can hurt men as well but I prefer female they're more naive." said Adam as he left past me out the door.

I was completely broken, it felt like my soul had been shattered into a million pieces. I began to softly cry as my heart overflooded with heartache "how could someone be so evil" I thought as I left to continue bawling my eyes out in my car.

Sadness had swallowed me whole and is keeping me captive in the dark trenches of its gut. My heart is overwhelmed with sadness in twined with a hint betrayl, I have never felt such a feeling.
