Part 10 - your face is love

All I could think of through dinner was the nasty comments and the phone call I had received. Daniel was finishing his dessert and had accidentally left some chocolate fondant in the corner of his mouth. He caught me smiling

"What is it?" Daniel asked as I leaned over to clean him with his napkin

"You are cute" I whispered softly. Daniel's face lit up and I noticed how his cheeks and ears turned into a rosy shade of pink. It got me thinking if could I let go of someone as special as Daniel just because of some nasty comments. I didn't want to make a decision at this moment. All of sudden a tall woman wearing a navy well-tailored suit approach our table. Daniel immediately stood up and gave her a hug

"Thank you so much for coming"

"No worries, this must be [Y/N]" the blonde turned towards me and reached out her hand. I was confused while expecting Daniel to tell me who she was

"I'm Ashley, vise president of Tame Records"

"[Y/N], nice to meet you" I politely shook her hand

"Take a seat" Daniel pushed the chair out for her and we all sat down. I could tell I had a confused look on my face and I couldn't handle looking like a question mark

"Not to be rude, but I'm not sure I understand who you" I started "Could you explain?"

Daniel let out a little laugh as he started to explain

"Ashley is a good friend of mine, we have known each other for.."

"Two years" Ashley interrupted with a smile on her face

"Yeah, two years" Daniel remembered as he continued

"When I read through your notebook, I knew exactly who to call" he glanced over at Ashley and I had a feeling I knew what was coming

"I have booked a studio for you to record one of your songs"

"If I and the rest of the team like what we hear, there's a huge chance we can sign you" my eyes widened as her words filled the air. My heart was pounding with excitement as I looked over at Daniel who was waiting for a reaction

"You have no idea how hard it was to keep this a secret" Daniel smirked

I was speechless as a surge of energy and validation washed over me. I was terrified but excited because my dream was closer than ever to becoming a reality.

"I have no idea what to say" I stuttered

"No words needed, we will fly you out to LA tomorrow and bring your A game" Ashley stood up and we shook hands

"Thank you Ashley, see you tomorrow" Daniel thanked her

"Thank you!"

As we both watched her walk away I instantly turned my head towards Daniel

"Are you out of your fucking mind?" I exclaimed with a big smile on my face and a flutter in my heart, I ran towards him, my feet barely touching the ground. In one smooth motion, he caught me in his strong arms, holding me close. It was a moment of pure romance, as we gazed into each other's eyes, lost in the intimacy of the embrace and the excitement of a dream becoming reality.

As I opened the door to the studio, my senses were immediately overwhelmed. The space was filled with the scent of expensive paintings and the sound of music. All of it made me hold Daniel's hand a little tighter than usual. Ashley was sitting beside someone who looked like the producer as we approached them

"[Y/N], welcome" she actually went in for a hug this time. Ashley introduced me to the producer and made her assistent get us some water. I looked over at Daniel who sat down in one of the expensive couches, giving me a reassuring smile.
