Jack was exhausted, rightfully so. He had a lot going on for the moment and was in under a lot of stress. And while you where used to hearing loud snores whenever he was very tired, Grace on the other hand was not.
She had insisted on sleeping in between the both of you this night because "Gracie want cuddle from mama and dada", as she put it herself. She loved sleeping in your beds and getting cuddles from both of you, especially if Jack had been away a lot.
It was Friday night and the three of you had watched movies in bed and when it was time to sleep Jack was the first one to go out. After just 10 minutes his loud snores started to fill the air. Grace twisted and turned for a while until she gave up and sat up straight.
"What's wrong bubs?" You asked and put a hand on her back
"Daddy is loud" she mumbled and rubbed her eyes, you gave her an understanding smile before pulling her closer to you. You nudged jack a little on his side, making him turn to his side and stop snoring, which made both you and Grace relieved.
"Let's try to sleep" you told Grace as she nodded and snuggled closer to you. After a few seconds Jacks snoring began again, and you felt Grace sigh.
"Why is he doing that?" She asked with in an annoyed tone
"When daddy gets really tired he starts to snore baby" you tried to stifle a giggle. You turned on the lamp on the bedside table to try to fix this
"It not fun" she said and you could see the adorable angry pout she had. Grace got grumpy when she was tired and now her dad was preventing her from falling asleep.
"Let's put snoring strip on his nose" you got up and walked to the bathroom where he had them, and picked one up. He had bought them when he was on the road and only used them when he was extremely tired or sick, so he had a lot left.
You tiredly walked over to the bed and sat down again, you reached to his face and gently put it on his nose. Grace was sat up on the bed, looking at you curiously. Just as you put it there Jack moved and opened his eyes. You and Grace gave each other a look and at the same time a hand over your mouths to stifle the giggles. Jack looked at the both of you with his eyebrows furrowed.
"What are you doing?" He asked with his hoarse voice.
"Daddy you snore very loud" Grace admitted and put a hand over Jacks shoulder, he looked a little embarrassed and then he looked at you.
"So we put a snore strip" you explained and shrugged. Jack shook his head at both of you as you and Grace giggled.
"Crazy girls" he chuckled and pulled Grace on top of him and hugged her "let's sleep now" he said and opened his arms, signaling you to scoot closer as well. The three of you snuggled closer to each other and all of you shortly fell asleep.
