he looked back down at her, his eyes meeting with her beautiful e/c ones. he jumped up a bit, startled at her waking up so suddenly. did she catch him staring? he prayed that she didnt.
she gave him a small smile, before looking at him in discomfort as if she remembered something. "i have to go...." she muttered before getting up and making her way to the door.
this was all familiar to him, like the first morning she was in his bed and left so suddenly. was he going to let her leave? was he going to risk losing her again? he couldnt let that happen, he needed the woman. he needed y/n.
jungkook snapped out of his thoughts and was met with an empty door. he let out a sad frown and laid back down, pulling the blanket over his head.
'stupid jungkook. stop thinking about her so much god damn it..'
no matter what jungkook did or told himself he couldnt stop thinking about her. he let out a sigh in frustration and realized that it was no use, so he grabbed his phone from the nightstand and decided to text her.
you sat in your bed with your head in your hands. you tried your best to focus on the sounds of the ceiling fan to block out the many thoughts that spun around in your head but it was no use. you couldnt stop thinking about him, the way he held you last night, the way he comforted you. you had never felt that way about a human boy the way you felt about jungkook.
you couldnt like him......your job was to punish him, not fall for him.
"maybe this is just a misunderstanding?" you told yourself, laughing at the thought. "yeah! maybe i just feel this way because he comforted me so i'm just happy about that." you smiled to yourself, feeling satisfied with the assumption.
"because theres no way i like jungkook. he's a player after all! he treats girls like garbage and only time will tell when he does the same to me." the words hit you like a sledgehammer, that had to be the case....right?
but something inside of you, deep deep down in your wretched soul, you knew that your words werent true in anyway. you knew that you were falling for jungkook.
"worst case scenario is that i actually do like him." you shrugged your shoulders. "if that actually is the case- which its not, i'll just avoid him. no biggie, and when im %101 sure that i certainly do not like him, i can continue with my job.
as if jungkook was listening in on your conversation with yourself, your phone lit up. you looked over and read who it was from.
jungkook.
"what the hell?" you questioned, grabbing the phone and reading the message.
jungkook: hey, how you feeling? you seemed a bit bothered this morning...
you wanted to reply and tell him that everything was fine, but you also wanted to stay true to your word, you had to. so you disregarded the message and turned off your phone.
a few days had went by since you saw jungkook and you had to admit, you were doing a pretty good job avoiding him. he had texted you a bit for the past few days but soon stopped when he came to the conclusion that you were ignoring him.
even though you had been ignoring him, that didnt stop you from thinking about him often. when you laid in bed at night you imagined that he was there, holding you tight and singing you to sleep. you didnt even stop yourself from thinking about him anymore, knowing that it was better than actually trying to make your thoughts a reality.
you gripped your purse tightly and made your way over to the cafe, the same cafe you had bumped into jungkook at. you opened the door of the store, the little bell dinging as you did so.
the barista greeted you with a warm small and you returned the gesture, before looking for a place to sit at. the table that you and jungkook sat at that one morning caught your eye, and to your luck it was empty.
you sat down at the little booth and grabbed the menu, deciding to order a coffee and a muffin. you told the waiter your order and waited patiently for your food and drink to arrive. you looked outside the window of the mini cafe, taking in the sight of the beautiful country.
everything was so perfect and put together, the trees, the street, the sky, and....jungkook?
you spotted the man, dressed in all black and a worried look on his face, making his way to the cafe you were previously at.
"fuck! please dont see me. please dont see me......" you silently prayed, hiding your face into your hands.
you heard the sound of his voice, greeting the barista then the sound of his footsteps seemed to be getting closer and closer as the seconds passed.
"y/n?" jungkook asked in disbelief, the sound in his voice breaking a bit. you knew you couldnt hide it anymore, he had already spotted you so what was the point of hiding now?
you looked up from your hands and took in jungkook's rough appearance. his hair was disheveled and he had dark bags under his eyes, it looked as if he hadnt washed in days.
"jungkook? why do you look like that?" you couldnt help but comment on his tired appearance. why was he treating himself that way?
'was it because of me? was he not taking care of himself because of me?'
a sting of guilt struck through your heart. every little thing you said to yourself to justify your actions soon began to fade away as you watched the man fall apart right before you.
jungkook ignored your comment completely and gave you a look of disbelief. "why are you ignoring me?" he asked, his tone sounding a bit hurt and betrayed. you shook your head and fiddled with your hair. "ignoring you? im not ignoring you...."
he scoffed and pulled his phone out, "yes you are! look!"
jungkook handed you his phone and you scrolled through the 35 messages he had sent you for the past 5 days.
"whats been going on, y/n?" he asked you. you scoffed to yourself. how were you supposed to explain to him that you've been ignoring him for the past week was because you've been falling in love with him?
knowing that you couldnt say that, you just shook my head. "nothing. i have to go." and with that, you got up from the chair and left the cafe.
jungkook stared at the door in disbelief, why was she acting that way? did he scare her off with the story about his father? was he losing her again? jungkook felt that familiar pain in his heart. why was this always happening to him? when he felt like he was getting closer to you, he would lose you in the blink of an eye.
the more jungkook thought about it, the more he became familiar with the feeling you gave him. the rush he felt when were around him, when you were in his arms. jungkook couldnt hide it anymore. jungkook finally knew.
