In this silly, rhyming story, the elephant is having a tough time with his annoying friend, the monkey. The monkey is always "monkeying around" and is always throwing rocks and bananas at him. He's constantly bothering him and won't let him get any...
If I were an elephant here's what I'd say, take this monkey's bananas so he'll just go away.
He swings from the trees like he owns the whole place. Then throws rocks at my head while his zebra friends laugh in my face.

I slip and I slide on banana peels he leaves all over the ground. He hides them everywhere so I will slip and fall down. Then he and his monkey friends laugh and swing around while they sling more banana peels at poor me on the ground.
He often plays tricks on me and pretends to be nice. Like, offering me a watermelon that is packed full of mice.

He giggles and giggles as I scream and run away. I guess it is silly since I'm big and so afraid. But everyone knows elephant's are scared of tiny mice. They run under our feet, they nibble and they bite!
He makes monkey noises while I'm trying to sleep. He drops on my back, pulls my tail, then he leaps, back to the trees, swinging and giggling while he throws more bananas at me.

Monkeys monkey around too much, pardon the phrase, they are naughty and sneaky and they love to play games.
So I decided one day it was only fair to fight back. I went to the stream, filled my trunk up and set a trap. Then later that day when he came up to tease me, my trunk, it exploded and sent him flying back to the trees.
