"Alright, let's go so we can go home faster" Ethan sighs as he opens his car's door and go out. I unfast my belt and make sure that Ryan stopped the enigme of the car before going out too.

"You know it's not really what happens, right ?" Chase asks as he stares at Ethan, an eye closed and the half of his face scrunch up because of the sun of a winter morning.

I follow them as they walk around the car to the trunk, Lucas opens it and starts to take out their schoolbag and handing it to them. I feel Ryan's presence behind me and reach my hand behind me.

Of course Lucas doesn't give his bag at Ryan since he doesn't have one

I smile when he takes my hand and hold it in his big and warm hands. He strokes both of his hands against mine. He probably felt mine were freezing cold and I feel butterflies in my belly just at the thought of him warming them without me asking him to do it.

"what do you mean ?" Ethan sighs as he turns around to face Chase after catching his bag. I feel Ryan's lips gazing the back of my neck as he pulls me closer to him.

"what are you doing ?" I whisper smiling. I squirm a little and pull his lips away. He smirks down at me as I turn around, and he brings his face closer to mine until his nose touch mine. His breathing brushing my face as he breathes through his mouth

"I'm kissing my girl" he whispers before pecking my lips. I smile as he keeps pecking my lips a couple times before pulling away.

"can you answer me instead of looking at your damn phone ?" I hear Ethan rumbling behind us. I turn around in time to see Ethan hitting the back of Chase's head since he didn't looked up from his phone

He groans and strokes the back of his head as he looks up at Ethan "what the hell was that for ?"

Ethan sighs "you're annoying man"

"I asked you to explain why you said what you said while leaving the car" he adds and i can see the roll of his eyes from where I am

" 'cause it's not because you go in school earlier that you'll go home faster" Chase says before looking back down at his phone. I keep my laughter to myself when I see Ethan's face after he heard the answer

I hear Ryan scoffing behind me as he gently pushes me forward "alright let's go now" he takes my hand in his and starts to walk toward the school "you want me to take you back home after school ?" Ryan asks as he gazes at me

I shake my head and smile "No thank you, my brother or sister will take me with them"  I reassure him. He nods and kisses the back of my hand "you tell me if you need a ride"

I nod "I will" and smile up at him.

It amaze me to see how much he's different from when I didn't know him. He's much more sweet and not cold or distant, with me at least. He's still like this with others but not with me, it's making me feel... I don't know...important

And it feels good. So fucking good.

He's still himself but in a different way, you know ?

I stop walking as we reach the entrance of the school and Ryan turns around with a frown on his face. "Why did you stop ?" he asks, now on full alert of what's going on around us

"I promised my friends to wait for them here" I chuckle "And I have to talk with Chris" I trail off and he scoffs, rolling his eyes.

He hates him,

I get it, he's not my favorite person on this planet either, even if at one time, he was.

"Please, Ryan" I tilt my head "I can't keep going with you if I don't talk to Chris"
