The red atmosphere surrounded V1, the dark and decrepit walls made a small sound each time they took one step. The Leviathan's size could not outmatch the size of the machines' craving for that sweet angel blood. Code had been rewritten, sacrifices were made just to get to him. A deadly kind of obsession that simulated emotion from it. Invigorating, yet also tragic. This would be the last time the blood of the angel would ever be shed onto their absorbent plates. Perhaps it could reason with the angel, yet the atmosphere said otherwise. The message was clarified not even a second later.

"Limbo, Lust....all gone. With Gluttony soon to follow. Your kind know nothing but hunger, purged all life on the upper layers and yet they remained unsatiated". The angel sat in front of the organ while V1 traversed the small obstacles to reach him.

"You've taken everything from me machine. And all that remains is

PERFECT. HATRED"

As fingers pressed against the keys, the organ sang its hateful serenade to V1. The giant room echoed with metal footsteps clanking against the water and floor, going closer to the source of hatred. Not even one step closer the angel suddenly turned and stopped playing.

"Machine, I will cut you down. Rend you apart, splay the gore of your profane across the stars. I will grind you down until the very sparks cry for mercy!

"MY HANDS WILL RELISH ENDING YOU"

"HERE AND NOW"

Gabriel dashed toward V1, swinging their swords wildly at them. V1 retaliated with a drill right into Gabriel, along with some swift punches. An adrenaline filled angel against an obsessive machine, the blood splattered and both parties seem to love it. No guns were used, just the both of them fighting like animals, swords and fists. A weird sort of passion, hatred and gluttony clashing together.

"IS THIS WHAT I LOST TO?!". Gabriel's sword was pressed against the knuckleblaster "Yes it was, choir boy". A shock wave blasted both of them back a fair distance, then it was at it again. The shock wave caused Gabriel to dropped one of his swords, which V1 took without a second thought. Entrapped in the heat of battle Gabriel plunged in, not even thinking to blink the sword V1 took out of existence. The swords clanged against each other as V1 started sliding back from the force in Gabriel's pushing. "You're kind never belonged! You aren't of the Lord's Creation!". A quick overhead slice from Gabriel caught V1, a large erupted from the left of V1, the machine looked at it. Its arm wasn't there, it wouldn't have mattered that much if it wasn't for one issue. The fuel tank was leaking, fast as well. V1 grabbed the arm and desperately tried to put it back on while dodging the incoming swords. V1 knew it was futile, yet they still did it anyway. Water splashed around as the arm slowly got put back on. When finally did the machine plunged into the direction of the angel, it's leaking fuel faster than it did before. Punch after punch, the blood came back in. It slowly sealed the leak, yet it left the angel fending for its life. Just one more punch.

Gabriel was panting on the floor, with V1 on top about to unleash more punches. For courtesy the feedbacker was used, it hit lighter. Though something happened that neither of them guessed would have happened. They stopped, both of them. Only V1 stood up with bloody hands, and red light out of the visual optic.

The only thing that was supposed to be tasted was victory. It's replaced with the metallic blood. He could only cough and slowly try so sit up right. Yet it was hopeless. Then it all went black.

30 minutes later

The darkness slowly faded as the Angel opened his eyes, being greeted by a mystical starry night and a blood thirsty robot. Initially he panicked considering the beat down that happened not too long ago. That was until he look at his body, some wounds had been mended. While useless to him, it was something of a gesture of peace. He looked at the machine. "Why-?". V1 held their hand up to prevent further speaking. "I just cleaned you up a bit. Don't question it". A campfire crackled silently, as if to not disturb the moment the two were having. Gabriel noticed some kind of fabric was on them, a blanket that was made with haste. It was made from cloth gathered up from lust, in some of the residents homes that stayed vacant. Shoddy and uneven stitches showed it was made in a quick manner, but the fact it was even made at all was more strange.

Next thing was sure, both of them sat near the fire that was made not too long ago. This warmth was something both of them didn't have the pleasure of taking in for a while. V1 ran another scan through their hardware, searching from any discrepancies just in case. Nothing out of the ordinary aside from the self-added angel blood protocol. Why was it feeling this way, why was it feeling? Nothing made sense anymore even though nothing really did between the two. This new found obsession with not just Gabriel's blood, but with him. Taboo for sure yet not the strangest thing to ever happen to both of them. The silence was broken when V1 sat close to Gabriel.

"We are not different. We are the same". At first Gabriel was confused, how could an object compare to him. He was an angel, V1 was just a machine. "How so?". Even if blasphemous, the thought intrigued him enough to listen. "We are both weapons". Deduced to a mere weapon, it felt odd. Yet the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. Ever since that battle they had in the heresy layer Gabriel has thought about his own faith. While it was strong at first, over time with each loss it faltered greatly. Especially after the father's light was stripped away from him. Gabriel could only do one thing. Reflect on what his own actions had done, the souls he killed that were underserving. It made the only conclusion a bittersweet one, God was gone and he needed to accept that. But the council never could, their power over heaven has corrupted its name. It wasn't the father's light, just dark tyranny. Only fear and misdirection was left of heaven. He knew what he needed to do. "Machine. Thank you". V1 only nodded in return.

"I must do something, but I would need your help". The blood protocol was almost lost, yet it still remained. Doing this meant the possibility of getting more of his blood. Was it really worth it though? Something about this new protocol messes with its circuits. It makes the machine care, it makes it love. If doing this meant getting Gabriel's trust, then V1 had a new mission. "I will help, you're gonna have to take me with you". Call it a wild guess, but it was a logical one. V1 inferred Gabriel had something going on in Heaven, whatever it was they would help. Gabriel stood up with V1 and extended their hand. V1 took it, and a beam of light engulfed them both. Leaving a dying fire and the poorly made blanket behind.
