It wasn't a video game, or a dream. It'd hurt way too much when that girl Hikaru had punched him. But, there was a game-like interface, and an 'angel' that acted like a GM.

And although he was very confused and unsure what to do or think, Raiko followed Hikaru and couldn't stop staring at her.
She was beautiful. Long flame orange hair that went past her waist. She wasn't too thin or overweight. But what really captured his attention were her eyes. They were a bright orange that matched her hair.

Hikaru startled Raiko out of his trance when she said, "If you don't stop staring at me, I can't be held responsible for what happens to you."
Raiko shook his head. "Sorry." He said.

Raiko decided to stare at the ground as they walked. 'Safer than getting her angry again.' He thought.

However, Raiko couldn't stand the silence.

Even before coming here, Raiko was widely known at school as 'the awkward babbling guy'. Actually, he was pretty sure he was known as the 'awkward babbling fatso' but, nobody ever said that to his face. Not since that time his older brother called him fatso and Raiko had punched a concrete wall next to him, cracking it.

"So... " Raiko started, not sure what to say next. He ended up stating the obvious, "You were killed in the meteor shower too huh?"

Hikaru let out a sigh. Unlike Raiko she had been enjoying the silence, the fresh breeze as they walked, and not feeling sick or the need to sneeze.

"Yeah." She replied.
"I was coming out of a subway station when.." Raiko stopped he was about to tell her how he'd tried to save a woman but realized it might sound like bragging.

"Um.. and can I ask where you were?" Raiko desperately tried to continue the one sided conversation.

She raised an eyebrow at him. Her expression seemed to say, 'really?'.
Sighing was getting even more tiring than his poor conversation skills so Hikaru just said, "I was at home. Heard a crash, looked up, next thing I knew I was talking to an angel."
"Oh." Was all he said in reply and silence grew between them once more.

Hikaru took quick glances at Raiko. She didn't want to stare out right at him after getting annoyed at him for staring, but she wanted a closer look.

Raiko had dirty blonde hair, closely cropped and blue eyes. Actually, as she watched, it seemed when the light hit his iris directly the blue changed from stormy sea blue to bright sky blue.

He had said something about how he used to be fat. It didn't look like he'd ever been fat. As she watched him, she noticed that the way he walked was awkward, like he had a huge invisible stomach he had to adjust for.

'Do I walk like that?', Hikaru thought to herself. She looked down at herself self-consciously. Her stride didn't seem off. It looked and felt natural.

Raiko's mouth was opening and closing as though he was going to say something and stopped himself every 5 seconds.
