It's lunch time and you happened to see him again . He's alone at the corner and you wanted to join him after you buy your own food at the counter.
You fall in line to order food as you glance at his area to make sure that he's still there.
Once you got your food , you instantly went to the table where he eats .
You cleared your throat " Hi ! " you greeted him cheerfully .
He looked up while munching adorably .
" Can I join you ?" You asked. He was a bit hesitant as he roams his eyes around . You noticed it and felt awkward but he still let you sit with him. He just nodded.
" Does the food here tasty ?" You asked just to start a conversation when you could just taste it yourself to know the answer.
" Just so-so .." he answered then drank on his cola. He seems different from the Ni-ki that you met earlier that day.
You took a bite to know what it tastes , and he's right .
" So Ni-ki .. " you started but then his phone rings and he immediately grabbed it to answer as if his life depends on it.
You just went silent .
" Hello , love ?" He starts and your heart just sank by hearing it.
Does he have a girlfriend?
Is it the reason why he answers the call right away after the first ring ?
Oh boy !
You are now overthinking as Ni-ki listens to the phone in front of you. He just hums in response to the caller in which you believe that's his girlfriend.
" Oh, yes , yes I'll go there now . Wait for me . " Ni-ki simply said as he stood up .
You just looked at him expressionless but deep inside , there's so many questions in your mind.
" Ah , y/n . I'll go first. " He just said and didn't even let you answer him .
You just sat there and stared at the wall in front of you blankly. You didn't even realize that Ni-ki was already gone .
You stopped zoning out when someone tapped your shoulder.
" Yes ?" You asked , a bit annoyed .
" I'm asking you earlier if you're with someone . If not , I'll share the table . " He said also annoyed . What's wrong with him ?
You stared at your front. Right, Ni-ki isn't there . He already left .
" You can just sit there if you want . It's a public place after all ."
" Okay " he replied and you know that you both shared the same mood. Maybe he asked you multiple times but you just ignored him since you're spacing out.
You just ignored him and continued on your lunch. The guy in front of you also did the same and mind his own.
You brought back your thoughts to Ni-ki and his supposed to be girlfriend .
Are you already late for him ?
