Later that day , you bumped into Ni-ki who's obviously trying to catch the elevator before it closes.
" Woah are you in a hurry ?" You spoke when you both finally entered . There's just the two of you inside.
You looked at him . He looks exhausted .
" Yeah . I'm finishing all my works so I can undertime later. "
" Why? " Being curious, you asked .
" So I can date you . " He said and you widened your eyes in shock as you look at him. He smiled as he saw your reflection in the elevator's door.
" What?!" You just can't believe it.
" Yeah, it's your birthday right ? " He confirmed but he really knew it ever since. You just nodded.
" Happy birthday y/n ." He greeted you and you felt your face heating up.
" T-thanks ! I thought you forgot. " You can't help but to stutter .
" Why would I ? We've known each other since we're kids . How come would I forgot ? And besides , I always hear you talking about your birthday . " You got embarrassed because he really heard it .
" But you said you're going to date me later . You never told me your plans earlier. "
" Why ? Do you have plans later ? We can reschedule it . Sorry I forgot to ask you out yesterday . I was busy ."
" Actually no . So , yeah we can go out . " This is you being head over heels for him . Your workmates already planned to drink later and you agreed but Ni-ki asked you for a date and you suddenly forgot you had plans . Now, you have to cancel your plan with your workmates because you chose to date Ni-ki.
" I'll just reschedule our plan tomorrow " you thought .

" Let's go home y/n" your workmate said as she get her bag.
" You can go ahead . I still have to retouch my make up "
" You have a date don't you? Is it why you reschedule our plan ?" She teased.
You smiled and checked your face.
" It's just a dinner . "
" Is he the one who gave you flowers earlier ? " Why does she have to ask questions as if she's investigating me ? You just asked yourself.
" No . He's not . So go home now . "
She went out rolling her eyes playfully . She knows that you'll never tell her the whole story.
Then a ring on your phone was heard. It was an unknown number .
" Hello ? Who's this ?"
" It's me , y/n . " You knew who it was . It's Ni-ki .
" Come down , I'm at the entrance ." He said , then ended the call without waiting you to reply .
You immediately went to meet him .
" Bro , did you took a shower ?" You asked because you saw his wet hair.
He shyly nodded and you just laughed.
" Why are you laughing ? Don't you know I used the office cr just to freshen up ? "
" You're just funny . Why would you took a bath ? Did you smell bad after work ?"
" Nope . But I just want to smell nice when we go out. "
You giggled . Why is he so cute ?
" Okay fine so where we are going now ? "
He smiled and held your hand without hesitation.
You blushed.
" Just leave it on me y/n and enjoy the night ."
Your heart flutters the whole time that your hand are in him then you remembered . Is it okay that you're holding hands ? He had a girlfriend.
You slowly pulled your hands from him. He looked at you concerned.
" Oh , it's cold . I'll just put my hands in my pocket . " You simply said and he nodded. You even expect him to grab it again and put it on his pocket while holding it like those on kdramas that you had watched. But he didn't.
" Here we are! "
You roam your eyes and it's a food festival. There are many sorts of foods that you can choose on . And you felt excited just by seeing it.
" Wow ! There's plenty of foods !"
" Yeah so don't hesitate to choose what you like . It's my treat ."
You two enjoyed roaming around and tried various foods . You're enjoying his company .
You both spend two hours of eating and laughing.
" So how's it y/n?"
" It's amazing ! Thank you for tonight Ni-ki. I didn't expect my birthday would be this happy. "
" No worries. I'm happy to know that you enjoyed . "
" So , see you tomorrow ?" You said , still not wanting to go home but you need to . Your dad keeps asking you where you are.
" Yeah , happy birthday y/n." He was looking at you straight in the eyes and was about to kiss you on the cheeks when you heard someone calling you .
"Y/n!" You two looked at the direction where the voice came from .
" Jay ?" You both spoke not believing what you saw.
" Jay ! " You said again when you realized that it's really him . You smiled excitedly. Ni-ki backed away when he saw him.
Jay came to hugged you . And Ni-ki was there just staring at you bitterly.
" I thought you're going home next month . Why are you here ? And by the way how do you know I'm here?" You asked him when he released you from the hugged but his right arm is still on your shoulder. As if he's telling Ni-ki that you're still his and he needs to back away.
" This is a surprise and I was just pranking you. I asked your dad where you are . Oh hi , Ni-ki " he finally greeted Ni-ki who's looking at you both blankly.
" Yo !.. so I'll head home now y/n" Ni-ki just said.
" Uhh , okay Ni-ki . See you tomorrow . " You said then he left you both .
You spank Jay's arms on you and he hissed in pain.
" Hey! You scared him ." You complained and Jay just laughed.
" Not my problem if he's afraid of me . He looked defeated earlier. Should I tease him more ?"
" Don't you dare , Jay . I'm warning you ."
He giggled and get your bag from you .
" I'll drive you home . Hazel is with me but refuse to get out of the car . She wants me to scare Ni-ki to know if he's still affected . She's crazy ."
" Really ? She's here ?! And so Lucas?" You excitedly went to his car .
" Hazel !" You exclaimed and was greeted by a young lady inside the car . She's smiling at you sweetly . You entered to hug her .
" Where's Lucas ?"
" Shhh ! He's at the back sleeping . Don't you dare wake him up . I've been so stressed putting him to sleep . "
You then went backseat to see the baby . He's sleeping like an angel and he really looks like Jay . How cute.
" Don't wake my baby, y/n . His cries are so fucking loud lately . But he's still cute because he got my face ." Gosh , he's so boastful .
" Okay just drive me home . If you don't want Lucas, just give him to me . " You said and the two just giggled. You're used to them always complaining about their baby but you knew how much they love him. Jay even got disowned by his family when he chose Hazel but eventually got reconciled with his father when the baby was born . And you're happy that he already had his own family.
