Everyday I go to school thinking I would see her there sitting in her chair twirling her hair as she looked out the window daydreaming. Everyday I look around to see if she is lurking in the hallways waiting to pick on Amber or surprise Eric. Things are different around school it doesn't feel right without her. At lunch time I sit at my regular table with Aria. I see everyone talking but I just can't hear them its as if I am floating through school like a ghost, a shadow of who I used to be.

Across the cafeteria Eric and Elijah along with Amelia all sit around their own table with their heads down not speaking a word. Elijah slowly moves his food around and then pushes his tray to the side. It seems everyone is affected with the loss of my sister. I know she is still alive and all but to everyone else it's like she had died. We are all mourning her loss in different ways I could only imagine how Caleb and Xander are feeling. Before my parents left with my sister's body my mom thought it was best to give me my crystal. She said it would help me in this hard time, to keep me sane when times are hectic. Unlike Kylie's mine is in a ring. It used to be my grandfather's ring. One of many apparently. My dad said that he had passed down many of the family rings to to him Elijah and my two aunts Sarah and Samantha. Elijah was actually happy my father was handing down the ring to me said something about how even though I am not a vampire with the ring I am closer than I ever will be. I guess Elijah and I aren't as close because I don't share the Vampire gene with him, although it runs through my veins because of my father we're basically two different people. Kylie always had a theory about me.

"Kade just listen you are my twin, dad's blood is full royal vampire blood don't you think that maybe one day your vampire blood will take over? It's just a matter of time. I believe that one day you will wake up with a full set of fangs and you will be just like us. Who know's it could definitely be a possibility" My sister lectured me as I sat on the chair reading old history books.

"Ky even if you are right, what would happen to my wolf? You know my position in the wolf community why take that from me? If mom is right I am supposed to be some wolf king or prince?" I replied as I put my book down. No use in trying to read when Kylie was all up in my face about our blood lines. It has only been a few weeks since the war was over and she was trying to learn everything she can about our royal blood lines.

"You would be both, half wolf half Vampire. Just like me, ooh what if we have cool twin powers when it happens? What if I could fly?" She asked as she got really excited. Too excited actually, when she had a crazy idea like this normally she likes to test her theories and this one was not one I wanted her to test. As if she was reading my mind which she probably did, since vampires have that ability she sped out of the room and down the hall. We were on the second floor so knowing her she was going to see if she could actually fly. I chased her down the hall and met her at the balcony that over seas the front entrance. She jumped on the banister and held on to one of the pillars.

"Kylie get down now!" I ordered afraid for her life.

"No Kade! I believe I could fly!" She replied as she jumped, I rushed to her to try to catch her mid-air but was too late. I watched her land..on her feet effortlessly as if she jumped off the sofa. Freaking Vampires always thinking they're invincible.

"Does this mean you can't fly?" I asked as I leaned over the balcony.
