When Fire meets Ice

The night was cold and fierce for the winter storms had just hit making everything covered in a white blanket. I hated the cold, I felt it was the worst. I woke up from my dream and felt this sudden temperature drop. My thoughts quickly going back to my dream I just had.

It wasn't a normal dream because most of the time I don't really remember them, however I remembered every detail of my dream that shocked me out of my sleep. My room was plain as it can be. Not needing anything flashy because I wasn't raised with all the luxuries I should have had. Instead I became comfortable with the life I was given.

As my mind kept going over the dream I could picture the flames scorching my skin as I ran through the dark forest. I could still picture my wolfs paws hitting the fresh soil as it ran away from the flames that was consuming the forest. The flames felt as if they were calling me, welcoming even. It was a feeling that I never experienced before, I wiped the sweat off my forehead as I remembered the heat the flames produced.

I normally didn't have nightmares like this one, it made me all disoriented as if I didn't know what was real or not. Sitting up I managed to yank off the sweat soaked shirt that clung to my bare skin. As soon as the shirt was off my body I threw it to the near by chair barley missing my an inch as I watched the shirt fall to the floor.

"That's a shocker you missed?" I heard the soft whisper, that made me alert. Amber wasn't in the room tonight because she has night patrol and I was the only one else in the room. The voice sent a shiver up my spin as I tried to recognize the tone.

"Who'd there?" I asked out loud hoping who ever it was would leave.

"Didn't picture you to be the scared one Kade." The whisper spoke again softly. I jumped out of bed turning on the nearby lamp that rested on the night stand meters away from my bed. I searched the closet and only found clothes and shoes.

"Nope you're definitely cold Kade" The voice whispered once more. I managed to drop to the ground searching under my bed as I heard the voice giggle.

"Seriously who is in here?" I demanded as my wolf's tone over powered my voice.

"Tsk, Tsk Kade you're still cold." The voice remarked.

"I am not playing who is in here?" I asked once more as I moved the curtains and found no one.

"Boo" The voice whispered into my ear. Turning around I watched my sister sitting in the chair I recently aimed my shirt at. She had this evil look to her eyes as her lips came up into an know it all smirk.

"Kylie, what are you doing here?" I asked glaring at her.

"Oh, just paying my dear brother a visit." She was quick to reply.

"We don't pay each other visits. Not any more. What do you want?" I rudely asked putting as much venom into my tone as possible.

"I came to show you something big brother." She replied.

"I don't want to see anything you are trying to show." I replied as I crossed my arms.

"Oh you definitely would want to see this." She mocked as she lifted a chain from her shirt. As the pendent became free my eyes went wide. It was the royal crest embedded with a crystal. Not just any one either, it was the Ice crystal. This sight enraged me. She didn't deserve the crystal for what she had done to me.

"How?" I gritted my teeth in anticipation.

"Mom gave it to me. Said it was time." She simply replied as she smiled.

"You don't deserve it." I replied as I glared at her. Once I spoke those words the temperature started to decrease immensely. So much that my breath was visible to the eye. I knew it was her doing yet all she done was glare at me.
