Amelia Bones was leading the Assault Team on Little Hangleton, on 11th. September. The objective was to locate a Horcrux, in the shack of the disgraced Pure- Blood Gaunt. Amelia had received a tip- off from Harry Potter, her friend- with- benefits, of the location. Kingsley Shacklebolt was her second- in- command.
'All right: Team, stand- by for attack. Shacklebolt, behind me. Dawlish, guard the outside for an impending attack. Proudfoot, open the box, and Savage, ready the emergency Portkey.'
Amelia and Kingsley, as one,  pointed their wands at the offensive box as Proudfoot opened the box. Savage gripped the Portkey tighter, as a ring was revealed.
'I have seen your heart, and it is mine-!'
'Avada Kedavra!'
Her heart definitely did not belong to Tom Riddle. She would not listen to the nonsense sprouted by the Horcrux. Amelia watched, as the Horcrux gave a scream of terror and died.
'Riddle Manor!'

Indeed, Lord Voldemort and Nagini were out, engaged in shifting their quarters from Riddle Manor to Malfoy Manor. But a group of Death Eaters led by Fenrir Greyback and Peter Pettigrew were there. Amelia killed Wormtail and Greyback was killed by Kingsley. The devastation that the five highly skilled wizards and witch left behind was out of proportion. Riddle Manor was a smoking ruin, and a hundred Death Eaters were dead. Considering the increasing Death rate, Voldemort would be further reduced to a few, a paltry 200 Death Eaters at most, soon to be cut down like the asses they were. The problem was that when Harry was informed, he was having a shag with four girls: Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Padma Patil and Parvati Patil. Of course, at first, he was irritated at finding out.

'Must... get... Horcrux... must... get... Horcrux...'
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, convinced that the Locket of Slytherin lay in the cave, had come here. He had given the Blood, was permitted entrance, raised the boat, and avoided the Inferi. Till, he was forced to drink the potion, twelve cups, in the basin, and began to have hallucinations about the fateful night with Aberforth, Ariana and Gellert Grindelwald. He tried to drink water from the lake and was dragged in by the Inferi.
Everyone was indeed worried, when after the failed Horcrux attempt, Dumbledore had gone missing. But by then, Harry had located and destroyed The Diadem of Ravenclaw,  and so, he was one step ahead.
