Sorry if it's wrong grammar and typo since I'm using my phone and it is quite more difficult.

CHANCES.. CHANCES.. CHANCES
"It's not the destination that counts, it's the journey we live to experience." I replay this over and over my head. Trying to get a hold of myself.
In my case, 'destination' would be fitting in and 'the journey' would have to be getting up from bed every single day hoping this day something would be better and something would change. I pray that this day I'm about to face would be better than yesterday.
It was a warm Wednesday morning. 6:45am to be exact and I have just enough time to take a nice warm bath and eat breakfast to start my day right.
I start getting ready for school. My uniform hung around my closet and books beside my school bag. I had just finished taking a bath with exactly 35 minutes to change into my uniform, fix my things and eat breakfast. I barely have enough time to do everything but I manage to do this everyday for the past 3 months without being late for school.
If you are wondering, I study in an exclusive private school in the Philippines. Exclusive meaning no boys in class. 100 percent girls only. People from other schools would often tell me how sad it is to study in an all-girls school but I don't see why. I guess it's because I have been studying in this school since I was 5 years old and I am very much used to it considering I am already 18 now and it's my last year in high school. Yes, I'm a senior.
I quickly finish my breakfast with only 5 minutes to spare so I grab my bag and run like there's no tomorrow. School was just right across the street from my house so it was easy for me to get to school without having to worry about traffic.
During 1st period which was English, I felt really sleepy and bored so I decided to doodle and I end up making a profile about myself.
Name: Serena Gonzales
Age: 18
Birthday: February 26'1995
Address: San Juan City
My attention was immediately called by my teacher which stopped me from continuing my profile.
The day went by the same as always and it appears nothing changed. My hopes that this day would be better than the last has just been crashed and burned.
While laying on my bed, I decide to ring Kherstel, my best friend. On the third ring she picks up and asks me "what's going on?" I reply saying "nothing.. just wanted someone to talk to." We started talking and talking about everything under the sun. We had to stop when I was called to eat dinner.
After eating dinner, I decide to call Rianne, Rain for short. She started telling me how life is in her class since we were not classmates anymore. I truly miss Rain as my best friend since we kind of grew apart ever since we no longer ate lunch together because of a fight I had with another best friend of hers. Having Talk to her in a very long time is actually very comforting.
I start studying and doing my homework for tomorrow so I don't end up cramming anything. It's really late at night when I finish my loads of homework and I take a shower before heading to bed and reflecting on my day, my life..
I think to myself...
Since when did my life get so messed up? Why is this happening to me? Did I deserve this? Is there something I could do to turn over a new leaf?
With these thoughts in my mind, I slowly drift of to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know it is still quite boring but I'm trying to introduce the characters and build up her life.
Please be patient and continue to read because I promise.. IT WILL BE WORTH IT. :D
TEASER: One Direction will come in the next next chapter but in the next chapter, Serena and Zayn's path get closer to each other.
