A visit to remember

IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE DOWN THERE! READ PLEASE!

A breezy Saturday morning came upon me. Saturday, great! No school today. I don't have anything specific to do today so I can either make it a lazy Saturday or I could probably call Leanalise and ask if she wants to go out. After the night of the concert, Leanalise and I have been keeping close contact by texting each other. I really think with time, we could be great friends but no friendship will ever be as great as the one I have with Kherstel and Rain. Come to think of it, I real miss those two so I'll probably skype with them tonight.

I decided to text Leanalise and make plans with her today. Maybe do some sight seeing around London's tourist spots and probably grab a bite after.

To: Leanalise

Hey! Wanna do some sight seeing with me today if you're not doing anything? Haven't really been around yet! :)

In a matter of seconds after I sent the message, I got a quick reply.

To: Serena

Hey love! Sorry I can't today have a ton of stuff to do for school then doctor's appointment. Maybe next Saturday or after school one of these days we could hang out! Sorry!

It was quite disappointing but maybe it's meant to be. So today has now officially turned into a lazy day.

To: Leanalise

it's fine.. I understand! Maybe some other timee!

What to do..what to do? Maybe popcorn, ice cream and good movies would make my day. I grab the stack of movies above the television trying to pick which ones to watch. The Notebook, Mean girls, From Prada to Nada, Pay it Forward and Perks of being a Wallflower. Hmm.. Perks of being a Wallflower always amazes me especially with Logan Lerman being in it and somehow this movie never fails to inspire me at some point so Perks it is! I place the movie in the player and get the popcorn from the cabinets to pop in the microwave. I put all the cooked popcorn in a big bowl and plop down on the couch and press play. I hope this bowl of popcorn would last me the whole movie.

"Dear friend,

I am writing to you because they said you didn't sleep with this person even though you could have..." Charlie, the protagonist, in the movie starts. You see, Charlie here is a wallflower and as said in page 40,41 or 42 in the book (I can't really remember the exact page) originally written by Stephen Chbosky said "He sees things, understands them and says nothing about them." That line ,my friend explains a wallflower in a nutshell.

Perks of Being a Wallflower is originally a best-selling book that was such a big hit at my old school in the Philippines and most likely the entire world or why else would it be turned into a movie!?? Anyways, for a time, everybody was reading the book and some even considered it as their best friend as it was their only companion during lunch for a week or so. A lot of people fell in love with the book and well, maybe I was one of them so when I heard it was going to be a movie, I was so excited. I remember Rain telling me about it and we were both jumping for joy especially after she said Logan Lerman and Emma Watson were starring. We were planning to watch the movie together but it never pushed through so I watched it with my cousins instead.

Charlie's life, I could say, is something like my life with trying to blend in and all that except lucky for him, he met Sam and Michael who became his best friends. Charlie had a different perspective on things, on life just like I do so sometimes people would misjudge us and think of us differently without even bothering to know the truth. Life for Charlie and I is a gigantic real-life rollercoaster that keeps on going and never stops. There would be days when we're at the peak of the ride, slowly going up and some days would be the ones crashing down. With life, you'll never know what to expect.
