THE ride on the train was silent. Finnick had his head between his hands for a long while contemplating everything before he started laughing. Everyone looked at him puzzled by his reaction.

"What?" He asked when he noticed the stares. They were silent and he shook his head. "I'm just dumbfounded by the audacity of the Capitol."

"Aren't we all?" Qetsiyah grumbled.

Dahlia sighed before clapping her hands and standing up. She placed her hands on Finnick and Qetsiyah with a sad smile. "We are a team. And I believe in you guys. You Finnick are the capitol favorite and you Qetsiyah are a Capitol darling. You're a good pair."

Qetsiyah gave her hand a pat and a small smile.

"Remember though," Vivian said, "It's a Quarter Quell. Everything will be different. And there's a new head gamer maker. Plutarch Heavensbee."

Qetsiyah remembered that name. After her victory, they had an elaborate party at the Capitol mansion which many attended.

Vivian stood beside the young Qetsiyah as they walked through the crowd. People cheered for her, took her picture, and threw petals to celebrate the girl's win.

Once she got through and into the house, Vivian looked at the girl with a gentle and pleased smile. Vivian had been with her through everything and always gave her her support. And when she won she couldn't believe it. "Everyone who is anyone is here to see you and celebrate you. You are officially their little darling."

"Wow," she said. "This place is big."

"Yes, it is. So be on your best behavior and remember to smile. They'll eat that right up."

Once they got to the big courtyard in the back yard they were met with more excited people. Qetsiyah walked to the food table and was met by some other escorts.

"Would you like a maroon?" The girl with bright pink hair asked. "They are to die for."

"Sure," she answered.

She took the plate and started to eat.

"Manners little one," Vivian spoke to her softly. "Well, I'll be right back with more people for you to meet."

Qetsiyah nodded her head and handed back the plate her tiny stomach full. She had never eaten sweets like that and overindulged in the maroons.

"Here take this drink." The girl offered. "It helps clear out your stomach for more food."

Qetsiyah gave her a puzzled look not understanding what that meant.

"It causes you to throw up and empty your stomach. It's the only way to enjoy all this food," the woman said with a genuine smile as she gestured to the table filled with food.
