Qetsiyah and Finnick sat in the living room of their temporary home talking. The nerves of what's to come the next day making it hard to sleep.

"Stick together right?" She asked tucking her head in between her knees.

"Always."

"What's gonna happen if it gets to the two of us?" She wondered aloud.

"Don't worry yourself over that." Was all Finnick told her. "We'll figure it out together."

She sighed knowing that what Katniss and Peeta pulled would not be able to be pulled again. "I don't wanna go back without you."

"Come on sweetheart don't think about that now." He waved her over and she laid her head on his shoulder. He caressed her arm and stared blankly ahead of him.

"I..." she trailed off not knowing how to say what she felt. "I care about you."

He felt a slight smile appear on his face and he kissed the top of her head. "I care about you too Qets. Go to sleep now. You'll need it."

As if on cue she yawned and tucked her head more into Finnick. "Okay. Don't stay up too long either."

All the worries of tomorrow left her in the embrace of Finnick and slowly she fell asleep.

"I won't let you get hurt." He promised her.

Finnick woke first from the knock on the door letting them know it was time. He looked at Qetsiyah who was still asleep beside him. He got up first and then bent over to wake her as gently as possible.

"Come on Qetsiyah. It's time."

She grumbled and tried to push him away but he stayed put. He called to her again and slowly she got up.

He walked with her to their stylist before they split up and got ready. She heard them talking about what the arena would look like and how exciting it was for them quarter quell. She blocked them out just wanting it all to be over with.

They put her hair into two braids on the side and got her into her jumpsuit, just a black stretchy material with grey accents. She stared at nothing in particular visibly zoned out.

Her stylist guided her away silently knowing she did not wish to speak. She felt if she said a word she might just throw up.

They got into the hovercraft with Finnick and his stylist and got the tracker injected into their arms as they set off for the arena.

Once they were alone again under the arena where she'd be put into a tube and pushed up her stylist finally talked to her.

"Well, good luck Qestiyah. I believe in you even if that doesn't mean much." She smiled at the girl. "I'm personally betting on you." She pulled out a golden dove bracelet. "I was asked to give this to you." She pulled down the black arm sleeve and clipped it to her arm before rolling the sleeve back up over it.

"Thank you." Qetsiyah finally said. She walked to her tube and watched as it closed around her. She stared at her arm wondering who had asked for her to wear it. It looked a lot like the pin Plutarch had given her so long ago but instead of white it was gold like Finnicks bracelet.

Without warning she was jolted up and brought to the surface. There she noticed they were on platforms high above the water. There were sections and each section had two tributes separated by a line of rocks for the tributes to swim to. The cornucopia was in the middle with all the supplies they'd need and she knew immediately she couldn't run and hide this time and she had to secure the supplies. She just knew that was already Finnick's plan, she just had to make it there fast.
