Chapter 10

At night I couldn't go to sleep. I had tried reading the article some more, but there was little to be found. I stayed up the whole night thinking. I wanted to know who killed my best friend. When I searched up the police records they seemed to have gone missing.

I came up with the idea of listing all the people who hated Harry at school. The list was short because Harry was a very likable kid.

List of suspects
 1. Annie
2. Josh
3. Gerald
4. Thomas

Annie was a girl who got dumped by Harry, but I immediately crossed her name off because she left the state months before the incident. Also it clearly stated that the person following him was a guy.

Josh nearly got expelled from school because of Harry. I crossed his name off too because he got along with Harry. Truth be told, Josh was now a really nice guy.

I'm only left with two names.

List of suspects
 1. Annie X
2. Josh. X
3. Gerald *
4. Thomas *

I think hard about whether they had an excuse to not be a suspect, but there was nothing.

Gerald naturally hated Harry because of a stupid bet. Harry was dared to ask out Gerald's girlfriend (now ex) out. In the end Gerald got dumped and replaced with Harry. Never really saw a happy ending there.

Thomas, although not admitting out loud, hated Harry as well because we always used to flirt with each other. Every time we were alone, Thomas would pop out of nowhere and whisk me away, just because he had something "important" to tell me.

Still not finding a happy ending there.

I eventually gave up and decided to go to bed. It was 2 in the morning, but I wasn't worried because tomorrow was a holiday. School was cancelled and so was work.

I went into a deep sleep. Dreaming of my confrontation with Gerald. He hadn't slipped my mind and tomorrow I was going to make him regret he ever messed with me. He'll see. He'll see...
