I arrived at Gerald's house half an hour later. I stepped up to the welcome mat and rang the doorbell. I hear footsteps and then the door opens up.
"Oh it's you again. The girl who has serious issues." I glared at Lilly. I felt like I had the need to knock some sense into this girl, but I held back my feelings and plastered a fake smile on my face.
"Right. Now, why don't you tell Gerald I came to ask him a few questions and that I didn't come to talk to the donkey standing in front of me." I talked to her sweetly and she just looked at me as if I was a pile of garbage.
"Fine. Gerald! Someone's here to see you!" There was some shuffling and groaning before Gerald appeared in the doorway. Lilly helped Gerald stand as he looked at me. Then Lilly, then me.
"Sk-Skyla? W-w...what are you doing here?" I didn't respond, just stood looking at him.
"Wait, you know this slüt?! Ugh just forget you. I'm leaving." Lilly shoved Gerald away and jumped into her ferrari.
"And FYI, we're through!" As Gerald tried getting up, Lilly drove away.
From the ground Gerald says, "Bye...Lilly." His whole structure started to droop and I helped him up. I took him to the living room and he sat on the couch.
"Feisty girlfriend you got there." Gerald just shakes his head.
"Look Sky, I'm sor-"
"Nope. I don't want to hear it. No matter how much you try to apologize I won't accept it." Gerald, who was on the verge of crying, agreed with me. He was a little shaky, but I ignored it as best as I could.
"Gerald I came here to ask you some questions so you can stop the act of feeling sorry." I sat down in front of him and began the interrogation.
"Have you heard about what happened to Harry?"
"Yea, he got murdered six years ago. Why?" I shook my head.
"No reason. Just curious. What were you doing on the night of the murder?"
"Are seriously thinking I killed that loser?" Again I shake my head.
"No I'm not saying that. I'm just asking, what were you doing on the night of the murder?" Gerald fiddled with the hem of him shirt and slowly answered.
"Well I can't clearly remember, but I think I was at a football game. The last one of the season." I took note of this.
"You think." Gerald nodded, but I didn't trust him one bit.
"Okay, is that all you did that night?"
"Look, Skyla, whatever you ask me, you can't prove I did it. I didn't kill Harry. You have the wrong guy. So, if that's what you came here for, shut the door on your way out." As Gerald turned away, I quickly pulled out a recorder and turned it on.
"Okay Gerald, your right. I have to go, but first answer me this. Why me? Why did you want to date me if I wasn't of use to you?" Gerald just laughed.
"Skyla, Skyla, Skyla. You don't know anything about me. I use girls all the time. Heard that most of the guys wanted you so I thought 'Why not? A quick füçk and were through.' But you were so resistant. It doesn't matter though. I'm already dating 3 brunettes; Hazel, Maria, and Samantha. They have no idea I'm cheating on them. That's the glory of having newbies in school." The way he talked sent shivers down my spine. He was a bïtçh.
"Well that's all I needed to hear. I'll be leaving now." As I gathered my things and opened the front door, I turned back one last time.
"You better watch your back. Never know when an 'accident' could happen. Hell's population might just increase by one." I stepped out, not waiting for his reaction.
