"Remember," McGonagall began at the end of Transfiguration, "exams start promptly 9 o'clock sharp on Monday morning - do not be late." She eyed George before dismissing the class.
"The absolute worst time of year," he grumbled beside me. "Lanaaaaa, help me."
"I have been helping you," I replied, pinching his ear and pulling him down, "for the last ruddy two months."
"I know I know, and I'm really grateful," he answered, wrapping his arms around me. "Thanks," he said, kissing me.
"Good, now let's go get some food - I'm starving!" He chuckled before letting go of me and grabbing my hand. "Then we can get cracking on some cramming~" I sang, laughing at the look of terror on his face. "Oh, I will not be going easy on you m'dear."
--
"Enough. I...I can't take it anymore!" George gasped, grabbing his hair. "Lana...please...stop."
I smirked down at him. "Oh Georgie, I thought I told you I wasn't going to go easy on you." I leant over and tapped his cheek. "I did warn you."
"I...I know..." he wheezed, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed in fear, "but I...I didn't..."
"Didn't what?" I teased, "Didn't expect this?" I tickled him lightly with the feather quill and grinned as he shuddered. "Now then..." I sat back in my chair, "hurry up and finish those Charms questions or we'll end up spending an all-nighter again."
George whined before picking up his discarded quill and began scribbling away again. "My hand hurts from writing," he complained.
"Tough love," I replied, watching what he wrote. "And it was Felix Summerbee, not Frank Winterpig, who invented the Cheering Charm..."
——
Exams whizzed by, with the twins complaining the entire way through, and before anyone realised it was already the day of the Final Task.
"Summerbee, wasn't it?" George confirmed for the umpteenth time. "It was Summerbee. Tell me I got it right."
"Yes, you got it right," I replied, grinning at his worrisome look. "You did fine...probably," I added, pondering before adding that last word.
"Urgh, I have totally failed," he groaned into my hair.
"Well, it'll work out," I said, trying to convince myself more than the Weasley. "Just one last exam and we'll be done."
We made our way out of the main hall, planning on heading back to the Tower for some last-minute cramming before our last exam began.
"-et you're not feeling quite as full of yourself now Cedric's caught you up on points, are you?"
Standing in the corridor were the Diggorys, as well as Harry with Mrs. Weasley and Bill.
"What?" said Harry.
"Ignore him," said Cedric in a low voice to Harry, frowning after his father. "He's been angry ever since Rita Skeeters article about the Triwizard Tournament - you know when she made out you were the only Hogwarts champion."
"Didn't bother to correct her, though, did he?" said Amos Diggory, loudly enough for Harry to hear. "Still...you'll show him, Ced. Beaten him once before, haven't you?"
"That was a Quidditch match, Mr. Diggory," I piped up, smiling up at Molly. "Alls fair in a game of sports, right?"
"Lana's right, Father," Cedric piped, nodding a thanks in my direction. "It was just a game."
