Back in the apartments, Angel and Colt are touching hands through the wall when Colt hears the news of a murder suspect getting hospitalized for burns. He goes to the hospital and sees the receptionist.
"Can I see my father?" Colt asked.
"Sorry little boy, but access is restricted by the police." The receptionist replied.
Colt got disappointed and left while leaving the receptionist notices he wasn't wearing any shoes and takes pity on him, but when she goes outside to stop him, Colt's gone. The receptionist decides to call the detective to tell him about Colt (which takes us back to the beginning of the story.) Colt has climbed the building and is now watching Dave through the window. After he taps the glass, Dave comes over and shows him he can't speak when Colt asked to be allowed to come in. They press their foreheads together before Dave offers his soul to Colt to feed on, which he accepts. As he loses consciousness, Dave's body slowly slips and falls to the snow-covered ground.
Some moments later, Colt shows up at Angel's window. After waking her up and asking her not to turn to see him.
"Can I come in?" Colt asked
"Sure...." Angel replied
Colt takes off his shirt and hops in bed with Angel, who notices he's super cold and has a six-pack. "Wow! He's so...strong and good-looking," Angel thought. "Hey, how'd you get in?" She asked. Colt said, "I flew." Angel didn't believe him, but she decides to ask him something. "Hey, Colt..." Angel said nervously. "Yeah Angel," Colt replied. "Will you go steady with me?" Angel asked. "What do you mean?" Colt wondered. "Will you be my boyfriend?" Angel said, blushing. At first, Colt turned her down. "I'm not a boy, Angel," Colt replied. "You're not a boy?" Angel said, confused. "No," Colt said. "What are you?" Angel asked. "I'm nothing..." Colt said. "Oh, it's ok," said Angel. "It's ok if you don't want to be my boyfriend. I'll have to make stuff up." Colt looked at her and said, "Can we keep things the way they are?" Angel smiled and said yes. "Do we have to do anything special...when you go steady?" Colt asked. "No," Angel replied. "So we can keep things the same?" Colt asked. "Yeah!" Angel said. "Okay," Colt said. "We can go steady." "Really?" Angel said. "Yes," Colt said.
Colt grabs Angel's hand and puts it on his cheek as he accepts. When morning comes, Angel is alone, and she finds a note from Colt that says "I must be gone and live or stay and die." Angel wonders what the note meant but she decides to forget about it cause she has school.
