Let the Ghost In

Chapter 10

Some moments later, after checking that her mom has fallen asleep, Angel goes to Colt's place to spend the night there. She falls asleep on the floor after spending the night with him, where she finds a note from Colt the next morning, saying he's in the bathroom and she shouldn't come in. When there's a sudden knock at the door, Angel checks who it is through the peephole and sees the detective. She steps back, intending not to let him in, but she steps on a loose board that creeks and gives her presence away.
The detective forces the door open and comes inside with his gun ready while Angel hides under a table. The officer starts looking around the house, finding the murder victims' wallets and Colt's note on the floor, which makes him move to the bathroom next. In there, he finds a bunch of blankets in the tub, which he takes away to find Colt sleeping under them. Needing light to see better, the detective begins to remove the boards that cover the windows, but Angel got in the way, "No, don't!" Angel yelled. She stops him just in time as a burn mark starts appearing on Colt's leg, therefore, waking him up.
Now that he's awake, he jumps on the detective and feeds on him by sucking out his soul. The detective stretches his hand towards Angel, slightly asking for help, but Angel can only close the door and step away. When Colt comes out, he hugs Angel from behind.
"I need to go away for a while..." said Colt.
"Really?" Whimpered Angel
"Yea, but don't worry, we'll meet again," Colt said with a weak smile. "But, before I leave, I have one more thing to do..."
Angel said, "What is it-" but Colt interrupts her when he kisses her on the lips as a goodbye.
A couple of hours later, she looks out the window and cries when she sees Colt leaving on a taxi after having hidden the detective's body in the abandoned room they had hung out at. The next day, Angel assists in a swim class. Her gym teacher leaves the class when one of the bullies calls him over to check on a trash can on fire, which was started by Gavin and his friends as part of a plan.
With the teacher outside, the four boys lock the door behind him, enter the pool area, and tell all the students to get out and leave. Angel tries to escape through the locker room but gets captured by the bullies and taken to the pool. Gavin grabs her hair and says: "Let's play a little game, if you can survive three minutes underwater, I'll only brush the knife on your face. But if you can't...I'LL POKE ONE OF YOUR EYES OUT!" "Gavin you should stop, your gonna kill her-" Griffin said but gets interrupted by his brother Gavin who tells him to shut up.
Angel is pushed underwater and is kept there when suddenly, she starts hearing some weird noises like glass breaking and the boys screaming. Blood starts filling the pool and even the head of one of the bullies falls into the water. It takes her a moment but Angel finally manages to get out of the pool and, as she catches her breath, realizes that Colt came back for her and killed all the bullies to save her!
