Adam's POV-
A WEEK LATER
"Jade is smart, Adam, she'll be fine," Kyle said as I paced around the room, trying to calm down.
"What if she's not?! What if he hurts her again, or rapes her again, or gets drunk again, a lot of things could happen, Kyle!" I screamed.
"Adam!" Destria yelled, her, Amity, and Lizzie had all came down for the week, along with Jordan. "Jade... Wasn't what you thought she was."
"What?" I asked.
"I... Prom night, I... um, gave her some... drugs," Destria confessed. I walked over and grabbed her shoulders.
"YOU DID WHAT!?" I screamed in her face, but I was plied off by Jordan, Tyler, and Kyle.
"I'm sorry! I thought it would help her!" Destria cried.
"Help her what?! DIE?" I screamed.
"Adam, calm down! She's not even your girlfriend anymore, why do you care?" Amity asked.
"Because Jade thinks I don't care, and I do, and I need to prove to her that I love her," I explained, then Lizzie's phone went off.
"I gotta go," she said.
"Where?" Jordan asked.
"Um... Jade invited me over," Lizzie muttered.
"Don't go over there! Tristan will probably hurt you too!" I cried.
"Adam stop being paranoid," Lizzie said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I'm not! Im trying to protect her!" I exclaimed.
"Well stop trying!" Amity screamed, then Lizzie left the house.
-Jade's POV-
"Jade!" Tristan called from downstairs. "Your friend is here."
"Coming," I said back. I walked downstairs and Lizzie was at the door.
"Hey!" She exclaimed, then she ran in and hugged me. I took her upstairs and we sat on the bean bag chairs and talked.
"So, where were you?" I asked.
"Adam's," she answered.
"Did he fuck you too?" I growled.
"Jade!" Lizzie exclaimed.
"It's true! He's a lying fucking douchebag!" I screamed.
"Sweetie you need a brake. What do you say about getting dressed up all hot, getting money and hitting the mall?" Lizzie asked.
"Sounds like a plan!" I exclaimed, then we ran to the closet and started going through clothes.
She decided on shorts and a lace half top from Hollister with Nike sneakers, and I chose an blue baggy shirt that said 'Punch today in the face' and matching blue shorts from Aeropostale with pink Jordans. After that, I grabbed money from my draw and a wallet and we left. I used Tristan's car, he was asleep anyway.
We drove to the mall- obviously Lizzie driving- and we got there twenty minutes later. She parked in the closest spot near the entrance and we got out. First we went to Hollister and Forever 21, then we got some food, and then we went to the Vans store. I needed new ones anyway.
"What about these?" Lizzie asked as she held up a pair of green Vans that ombre into white.
"Cute. I like them," I replied, so we found my size and went to the cashier.
"Is that all for today?" He asked, there was something about him that seemed familiar.
"Um, yeah. Just these," I answered, and he rang them up.
"Credit or debit?"
"Debit exact."
"Can I see your ID please?"
I nodded and handed him my ID, he looked down at it then back up at me.
"Jade?" He asked.
"Do I know you?" I asked, he nodded.
"It's me! Connor!" he exclaimed, he came from behind the desk and hugged me, and I hugged back.
"Who's this?" Connor asked.
"My best friend Lizzie. Liz, this is Connor, my ex from seventh grade," I introduced.
"Hi," Lizzie said, and they shook hands.
"Jade you look gorgeous! How's life? Still with Tristan?" He asked, he was the first one I told about Tristan.
"Yeah, but he's better now. Still an asshole, but a better asshole," I answered, he laughed. "What about you?"
"Same old, same old. I moved out, got my own place and car, and I got a job here," he answered.
"Cool!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, we should catch up later. You busy tomorrow night? We should get dinner," Connor offered.
"Sounds great," I replied, then I gave him my number, grabbed my shoes, and we left.
"He's cute," Lizzie said.
"Big time," I replied.
Connor had soft blonde hair and emerald green eyes. Sort of like Adam's but his were brighter and a lot more noticeable. He was wearing red plaid with black jeans and brown work boots. Connor grew up in Dallas, Texas until he was about thirteen, then he moved here. He ended up loosing his accent, but you can still hear it a little in his voice when he talks. Anyways, Lizzie and I grabbed something to eat, went to Gamestop, then we realized it was past eleven and the mall closed in twenty minutes. So, we left. I dropped off Lizzie then went back home. I walked inside, and Tristan was nowhere to be seen. I went to my room and changed into shorts with a baggy shirt, put my hair in a bun, put on my glasses, and went to sleep.
