Days Later...

"Stop trying!"
That same two words kept repeating in my head. I loved her. I still do. She needs to understand that I was in a bad place, confused and distracted. I pictured Marzia as Jade, beautiful and stunning, I got too in my head. I've messed up so many times, with Brooke and now Marzia, Jade has every right to be mad. But I'd wish she let me talk.

It's been days sense I've seen anyone. I need to be alone. After Des told me what she did to Jade, with the drugs and the smoking, I knew she wouldn't be the same. After the party with Jade and the party and the 'incident' after that, I understand what she went through.

The feeling of being alone. Where nobody can understand you or know how you're feeling, and you can't talk about it because you feel like you'll seem crazy or you'll feel like people are going to talk to other people saying how stupid you are for feeling like this because it's 'just a phase.' I'm suppose to be a start football player who's a girl magnet and is tough, how can I explain how I'm feeling to someone? How do I explain that I don't want to be there anymore?

Suddenly, I head the doorbell ring throughout the house. I didn't spring to the door or run or jump up in excitement at the thought that it was Jade, because I knew it wasn't, and I knew it wasn't going to be. I walked downstairs with a bottle of Vodka in my hand as I walked to the door. I opened it slowly so reveal the same girl that ruined my life. Her blonde hair was in a high ponytail and her blue eyes were popping with her nude eye shadow and winged black eyeliner. She wore a grey sweater and black leggings with tan heeled short boots. She carried a tan Chanel bag and wore black aviators on her forehead, and a tan scarf around her neck. She starred at the ground and slowly looked up at me. She didn't have her same evil smirk, she had a sad frown.
"Brooke?" I asked slowly, she didn't say anything. She just starred for a second.
"Adam..." She breathed out.
"What... What do you want? Haven't you ruined my life enough?" I snapped.
"Adam please... I'm having your baby," she reminded.
"That I didn't want, Brooke. You got me drunk and fucked me over," I growled.
"Adam... Please just, just gear me out," she begged. Me, being the soft guy I am, let her inside.

She walked in and sat down on the sofa, starring at me. I sat next to her and she starred, looked down, and looked back up. Her eyes started to turn a light red around her eye color, as her blue eyes started turning light blue. She was crying. I've never seen Brooke cry before.
"Adam, I... Please, please understand. I've been a spoiled bitch my whole life. I, I didn't understand what was okay, and what wasn't. You were the only guy who rejected me, and I had told myself that, if I had become pregnant, you'd have to stay with me. But, I didn't think Jade would go as far as... Suicide, and, I sent her flowers with an apology letter after that, and I never heard back. I know it's hard to trust me, and you have every right to be skeptical. But I am hurting, too," she explained, I starred at her as tears dripped from her eyes.
"You're hurting? I lost my girlfriend, my respect, and I feel that my friends aren't staying by my side. You made Jade lose so much trust in me, and you blamed it on me, how the hell are YOU hurting-"
"I got kicked out, Adam," she interrupted. It went silent as nobody had said anything for a few minutes.
"You... What?" I asked.
"I told my parents about the baby, my mom was sympathetic. My dad lost it. He through a suitcase at me and told me I had five minutes to pack my 'shit' and get out of my sight. My mom yelled at him, but I ran upstairs and cried and packed everything. I didn't think he was serious. After, I stepped downstairs in which he threw my car keys at me and literally, pushed me out of the house and locked all doors. I heard my parents yelling from inside, but nobody came out to get me. I got in my car and left. I couldn't go to anybody, nobody knew about the baby, not even Savannah. You're the only person that can help, it's your baby, Adam," she explained, we both sat there as the room fell silent. She was right, it was my baby. I couldn't leave my baby alone with her, she'd be a single mother. And I refuse to let her go through what Jade went through, no matter what she did in the past.
"Brooke... I... You, you need help and-"
"I'm getting it. I'm taking therapy and classes with others to control my emotions towards others and myself. I have a job now, too," she said.
"Which is?"
"I work retail at Rue 21, it's a start," she answered.
I sighed. "What do you want from me?"
"A second chance," she answered. "I am going to be a mother during my last year of high school. Do you understand how hard that is? You're going to be a father, like it or not. I want our baby to grow up with both parents, a good home, and a loving family. I'm all alone, okay? Do you want me to give birth on the sidewalk of a highway?"
I froze. "Of course not."
Brooke starred at me with her big eyes and rubbed her stomach which did have a baby bump. I looked down at her stomach, smiled, then looked up at her.
"Is it a girl or a boy?" I asked.
"I didn't want to find out without you there," she answered.
I sighed. "Listen, Brooke, I understand you're hurting. It's going to take a while. Until you land back on your feet, you can stay with me."
"Thank you, thank you so much, Adam. You're saving me," she replied, then she hugged me tightly, I hugged back.
"So, what are we going to do about names?" She asked.
"I have to explain to the guys what's happening. There going to be mad, but if their my friends, they'll understand," I said. "We can write down girls names and boys names, everyone can give some names," I explained.
"Sounds good," she said. "Are your parents okay with me moving in?"
"Not their house. My mom got a job promotion, she moved to Ohio with my sister. My dads out of the picture," I explained. "I'm eighteen, she said I could handle myself."
"Okay. If I get too much to handle, please tell me," she said.
"I will," I smiled. "Go get your bag."
Brooke smiled and stood up and headed to the door. She opened it, stopped, then turned to look at me, and smiled. "Adam."
"Yes?" I asked.
She smiled. "Thank you."
She turned, and walked out to her car.
