I stood outside the doors of Half-Blood High. I honestly did not want to be here right now. Anywhere would be better than this, because I knew they were inside. I couldn't skip though. I have been too much lately and my father was starting to notice my increase in absents.
I lived with my father and step-sister, Hazel. My mother is dead. She was killed in a car crash, years ago with my older sister Bianca. I think that's what really did it for me. Those events that is. That was when I lost my smile. I lost my happiness.
Soon enough it led to depression. Of course, those weren't the only things that contributed to it. The bullying did too.
I pushed open the door with my shoulder, stepping inside the humongous building. I took a left and headed up the staircase, towards the lockers. I found mine, opening it, grabbing my books and slamming it shut. I decided to leave on my aviator jacket.
I glanced at the clock on the wall. I was early, here before anybody else, like usual. Except for Hazel. She arrived at the same time I did, because our dad dropped us off, before heading to his office where he deals with organizing funerals, burials, etc.
I headed towards my first class, though I was early, I had no friends to wait for. I walked in and nodded at the teacher, Mr. Brunner. I sat down at a desk in the back and took out my notebook. I began to just doodle and started my daily routine of waiting for the day to be over.
There was a crash, followed by the sound of laughter as a group entered the class. Great. They were here.
The three boys took a seat at the front of the class, where they were most likely to be noticed by others. If they weren't noticed, their efforts would be wasted.
Jason Grace. The son of the principal. Excels at sports, captain of the football team.
Percy Jackson. Boy, I hated that name. Captain of the schools swim club. He was for a reason too. He had won many awards and ranked one of the best in the country.
And then there was Will Solace.
I clenched my fist, yet continued to scribble around in the lines paper.
"Hey Death Boy," I heard Will call. I stiffened, but kept my head down.
"I'm talking to you, Di Angelo," he shoved me, and I stumbled out of my chair, to the ground.
"Freak." I heard Percy laugh. Why the hell did I ever have a stupid crush on that jerk?
Tears started to stream down my face.
"Not in the class boys," Mr. Brunner called, looking up from his textbook.
I stood, grabbed my things, and ran out of the room, leaving the snickers from the three boys behind.

A/N: That is the end of the prologue!
So this will probably be the average length of each chapter. Some operant notes:
-The characters in the story are all going to be the same age (high school idk what age that would be XD) except Hazel, who is a year younger.-Just reminder again that there is some personality change (as you can tell by Percy and Will) this will change throughout the story blah blah blah
Aaand hope you like!
