a/n: I changed the cover but it's still a work in progress I don't like the font lol

Neither of us spoke of what happened. My feelings were a jumbled mess in my head.

I returned home with cold lips and tangled thoughts, continuously wondering what would have happened if that call hadn't occurred.

Would we have kissed? And what would that mean? Did he like me? What would that lead too?

After everything that has happened, the racing heart in my chest, the pure warmth I felt when he was around. I had fallen for him and hard.

Home was quiet. My father working hours into the night, Hazel away in her bedroom.

I found myself awake until the sun rose into the sky, my own head keeping me awake through out the entire night.

Yet, I still made my way to school. Will waited by my locker, smiling as I approached.

"Good morning," he greeted. I sighed, rubbing my eyes as I grabbed my books.

"Morning," I replied quietly.

The day went by quickly, trying not to sleep through all my classes. Lunch rolled around and I couldn't be more thankful. I made my way to my usual table, dropping into my seat.

But Will was no where to be seen. Every day he had always been the first one here, ready to chat my ear off for the next forty five minutes.

The familiar blond was missing, and even as I waited ten more minutes he didn't arrive.

So, heaving my bag back onto my tired body, I went to look for him, having nothing better to do. His annoying, but oddly soothing voice would probably wake me up anyway. I would need it considering I had history next period.

I passed by several classrooms, looking for what I remembered to be his math room.

That's when I found it. The plain and boring classroom, with only a few cringey math posters tacked to the walls.

And I found Will too. He was there, but he was far from alone. An auburn haired girl was in front of him, her back facing me.

Not only was she standing there with him. Instead, her lips were against his and it looked like Will was making no effort to stop her.

I froze, blinking for a moment before speaking.

"Sorry. I guess this is a bad time," my voice was small and weak, even a little shaky. Will pushed the girl away, eyes wide.

"Nico!" he called.

But, it was too late. I was already rushing down the hall and out the door.

a/n: ew. cliche.

I'm already almost done the next chapter, it'll be up in a few days. These are sort of an apology for never updating.
