"You idiot!" A girl's voice yelled. I turned to see a girl standing next to Percy laughing, in line for food in the cafeteria. She had long blonde hair, tied back in a messy ponytail. I had seen her around school, but had never talked to her.
"That's Annabeth," Someone said, sitting down at the table next to me. I turned in confusion to find Will. No one sat with me, the presence of someone else at my table was honestly shocking.
"She's a friend of Percy's. I think they finally might get together. Hopefully she'll knock some sense into that head of his." He stopped, noticing the glare I held as I watched Percy.
"Sorry. You probably didn't want to know that, considering you two aren't exactly friends," he took a bite of an apple. "How were your morning classes?" he asked.
"Why are you here?" I tore my gaze away from Percy and Annabeth, focusing on Will instead. He gasped, faking a look of hurt.
"Is it a crime to sit here?" he giggled, setting his apple down. "You looked lonely so I thought you might want some company,"
"Don't you have other people to sit with?" I asked, awkwardly fiddling with the hem of my jacket.
"You mean like and Jason and Percy? I could but honestly sometimes I feel like I don't fit in. They're both kinda... the centre of attention you know? I don't wanna be in the spotlight. I'd rather watch from the sidelines. They have such extravagant interests. Me? I just like to do boring things like read medical text books. I wanna become a doctor," he laughed softly. "Oh gods don't tell anyone that."
Somehow a small smile formed on my face. "Now we both have a secret to keep,"
The rest of lunch was spent in silence, each of us not knowing how to break the awkward barrier between us.
"Well, I'll see you around," Will smiled, standing up to leave. I nodded, glancing away.
"Bye," I mumbled.

"Whattcha doing after school?" Will grinned, throwing his arm over my thin shoulders. I slowly pushed his arm off before replying quickly as I headed to my last class of the day.
"Nothing. Why?" I asked, confused. He just smiled.
"Wanna come over? Watch a movie or something?" his smile lit up his face, eyes squinting into crescents. I stared at him for a moment, admiring his tanned skin and golden hair. An odd feeling flooded through me and I looked away.
"Sure I guess," I whispered, shrinking in on myself. His grin widened.
"Meet me outside after school," he laughed, walking away. I pulled my textbooks closer to my chest and sighed. What happened to the hate I felt? Why was it that whenever he randomly showed up, I kinda felt... happy? Overall, I was confused with myself. I mean, come on! This was one of the boys that beat the crap outta me!
With a groan I stepped into my last class, excited but also completely dreading meeting up with Will later.

A/N: Short, badly written, and way overdue. This story will probably be pretty fast paced. Enjoy ^~^
