Hidden truths are also lies

The real damage under the surface

Venus heard noises inside the houses she couldn't localise and the curiosity inside her won. She stood up from her bed and followed it through the rooms. Chung I was out to buy some groceries, so he couldn't be the cause of it. When she finally knew where it came from she opened the door from the hidden laboratory owned by Gaoto.

Gaoto was about to fix a van wearing full gear to not burn himself. He stopped when he noticed that someone opened the door and looked in the direction.

Before Venus eyes a memory popped up. Shorter than a second, but enough time that the panic began to rise inside her. She screamed at him and ran away from him.

"What is wrong?" Confused Gaoto followed her. Trying to grab her and calm her down. Not knowing his gear was the reason she freaked out.

"Don't touch me!" She screamed in fear when he finally got her by the wrist and tried to stop her. She twirl, punched and kicked him just to get away from him.

Gaoto had to let her go to not hurt her more. Her stitches were healed, but he didn't know how good they would hold together. It was still a miracle that she was alive.

Venus got outside, climbed up a house and ran over the roofs. Not looking back or caring about were she was going. Just away.

Gaoto still followed her, but with a distance to make sure she doesn't got catched by someone. He didn't shout again her name or something else. She wouldn't listen and he knew it.

"Watch out!" Was the only thing he shouted when she crossed the street. A car went by and he knew he wouldn't be fast enough. His feet froze under him and he wasn't able to move.

Like a miracle Venus was pushed out of the way seconds before she was ran over. Gaoto couldn't believe it, but it was Olivier who rescued her.

Venus was already on her feet again and tried to ran away again, but Olivier hold her back on the wrist. Signing towards her, but Gaoto couldn't see or hear what they talked out.

"Are you two okay, Ollie?" He shouted from the room and still couldn't move.

"Yes. Stay back. I handle this. Trust me." Olivier stood in front of Venus. Still holding her on the wrist, but also shielding her from Gaoto.

Gaoto just nodded and sat down in crossed legged on the roof and waited.

Venus just looked at Gaoto in fear. She refused to look someone else or took a step in his direction even when Olivier went infront of her and tried to drag her with him. She was frozen and trapped inside her mind where all the memories went through her mind. Too fast to catch even one blink. Too slow to not deliver the bad feelings that came with them.

"It is your gear. Take it off." Olivier noticed that she was a little calmer than before unless he tried to step away from her.

"What? She knows who I am." Gaoto couldn't believe that would anything change just of his appearance.

"YOU SCARE HER. TAKE. IT. OFF!" Olivier commanded. He never talked like this towards a person of authority, but it was necessary.

Gaoto sighed and took off his coat, his scarf and his goggles. Climbing down the house and slowly getting near them.

Venus still watched each movement of him, but was calmer and didn't freaked out again. She clanched on Oliviers arm.

"Do you want to tell me what was wrong?" Gaoto kneeled down and pet her head. Making her even more calmer and make her let go of Oliviers arm.

"I can't." Venus looked away. Not feeling comfortable in the situation. She hates losing control.

"I will not be mad. You can tell me." Gaoto was still sure it was something he did while he stood up again.

"You understand wrong. She literally can't. She doesn't know what happen." Olivier explained to him what he figured out just minutes ago.

Gaotos expressions changed when he noticed it. She was traumatised. The time were she got her scares. It must be more hurtful to her than she confessed before. And he triggered her. He would be more sensitive around her and would make sure he doesn't wear the same cloth around her again.

"Take your time. When you feel the need to tell us something then do, but we don't force you. We just want you to be okay." Gaoto hold his hand towards her. "Do you come home with me?"

Venus gaze went to Olivier, before she took Gaotos hand and Gaoto shouldering her on his back. Knowing he would following them back to their home where Chung I would wait for them.

"And you tell me what you do in New York." Gaoto side eyed him. Being suspected about the fact he wasn't showed up earlier.

"That is a story for another day, Gaoto-san" Olivier just smiled at him innocent.

None of them knowing they were watched all the time from the roofs. If good or evil it would be shown.
