Hidden truths are also lies

A second life

Venus opened her eyes. Not knowing where she was. Not knowing how long she was out. Even her name she couldn't remember.

Her sight was blurry because of the water she was surrounded. A mask covered her mouth and nose filled with oxygen so she was able to breath. On her arms were tubes like cables who filled her body with nutrition to keep her alive.

She began to try to rip them off. She wanted out of that tank. Lights began to blink and a sound was hearing, but she didn't stopped.

Someone stood in front of the tank and just in seconds the water was completly gone. Venus stumbled when she had finally a floor under her feet again.

The face of the man looked familiar to her. She couldn't remember, but she trusted him instantly.

"You are back. Don't freak out. I will get you out as soon as possible." The voice of the man came towards a speaker into the tank.

Venus couldn't wait and got rid of the mask over her face. Finally she was free from all the cable. She took a deep breath and looked at her hands. Green with 3 fingers. Were there always looked like that? Why the other person looked so different than her?

The tank got opened and Venus were about to fall, but arms catched her and helped her to stand up. Gaoto guided her towards a chair. "Sit down here. Your body is still weak"

"Where am I?" Venus looked around. It didn't looked familiar.

"In safety. They can no longer hurt you." Gaoto gave her a glass full of water to drink. "Do you know your name? Do you know who I am? Do you remember something before you opened your eyes?"

Venus shoke her head and still looked confused at him. "You look just familiar. Like I saw you before."

"Okay. Atleast you remember how to use things. We will see if your memories come back, so tell me when you remember something, can you do that?" Gaoto used a flashlight to control her pupils, but they worked just fine.

Venus nodded.

The door opened and Chung I came into the room. "She is finally awake. Glad to see you alive... can somebody help me? My brain is so full with wisdom that it can't remember a lot of names these days. What was her name again?"

"Venus. Venus de Milo." Gaoto answered, he knew about the bad memory of Chung I who gave her her last name from a former life.

"Right. Like the godess." Chung I swirled his beard. "Life is a gift so don't waste this second chance. Got it?"

Venus nodded again. "Who are you?"

"I lived so long and so may lives. My wife died with my real name. Just call me Chung I. And this young man who saved you is your uncle Gaoto. So when he says something you should listen to not get into danger. And never be afraid to ask if you want to know something." Chung I petted her head gentle.

Venus smiled slightly. She didn't remembered him too, but she also felt comfortable around him. She looked at her scares and wondered where they came from.
