Chapter 2 - Stones

"And you're saying that necklace just, latched around your neck without you touching it? " Blaze asked, still not convinced. Amy sighed, "Why won't you guys just... UGHHHH! I think I should search about this necklace" "Want us to help Miss Amy?" Cream suggested, Amy smiled, "Thank you but, I guess I can do it on my own. And, oh, I gotta go because I need to fetch some books in the library" Amy stood up and starts to walk away their table.

Amy's POV
As I left our table, I saw something or maybe someone, peeking on the canteen's door. What if that someone heard what I and the girls had talked about. The figure was somewhat... Familiar? Hmmm... I wonder who that was. I hope that no one heard about the necklace. But, why would I care if someone knew? It's just a necklace! Brush it off Amy Rose.

Minutes later, I am already at the library, trying to find a book that contains shiny stones and gems. Well, I didn't found any. "This necklace's history will remain a mystery" I inspected the necklace and I realized that its designs are already changed, its different from how I saw it. Or, maybe I didn't notice it's features of it last night.

I just shrugged it off, and made my way out of the library with the books I need for my report. I felt a strange feeling that there is someone who keeps following me around the campus. I don't wanna look behind. I don't wanna look!! That's why I kept walking forward even though I can feel it's gaze.

I reached my locker and stuffed my things, and I noticed... The guy I bumped yesterday. He was also fixing his things, 3 lockers away from me. I still don't know who he was, or what he really is. I can only see was his nose.
Well, judging by it, he really was a hedgehog, just like me. Maybe I should talk to him or something. A little hi wouldn't hurt, right?

As I approached, I saw a small yellow, two-tailed fox, talking to him. I stopped my tracks and maybe it was better to just forget what happened. I mean, it's not a big deal though. Unless you wanna make friends with him? No! That!? No way, he really looks scary and unapproachable to me.

"Maybe, that two-tailed fox was his friend?" I said as I go back to my locker to find my papers for the report. I even used the locker door just to cover my face so that they won't see me eavesdropping to their conversation.

"And I actually saw this stone while I was walking home last night!" The two-tailed fox said and hands the bright, yellow-y stone? It kinda looked like what I found. The only difference is... The one he had was a perfectly cutted stone. Not like mine. "You know bud, you should try to inspect it, It looked like those missing cha-" the hoodie guy said, I continued to eavesdrop until I heard the bell rang that caused the papers to fly around me.

The Hoodie guy; who was not under his hoodie anymore and the yellow two-tailed fox stared at me. I just stood there with papers aroun- WAIT! I WAS RIGHT!! HE WAS A HEDGEHOG!! I saw his eyes dilated as he realized that, his identity was not hidden to my eyes anymore.

As I picked up the papers on the floor, the papers went flying again. I groaned and looked up to see what caused it and find nothing but a blue streaks of light. I guess that just the wind? But no, why the wind would had colors?! Nevermind, I should get going to finish this and go straight home, or maybe hang out with the girls. And I just heard that there is a newly opened Café across the street.

A little fun won't hurt and besides, I was completely drained out... And... Embarrassed myself because I was caught by the hoodie guy a.k.a blue-y, and that yellow two-tailed fox eavesdropping to their conversation. Gladly, they left without lecturing me, that will really cause me to dig a freaking hole to hide in and won't go out until my existence was erased to humanity

"I better start. To finish this. REPORT! LIKE OH MAH GODDDD, I WANT A EFFIN' BREA-!" I stopped yelling as I felt my mouth was covered, "Geesh, Darling. Don't yell like that. That's really unladylike" Rouge said, eating marshmallows. I groaned and I wanna complain but, Rouge just stuffed my mouth with marshmallows so that I can't talk until I finished my whole report. I sighed in defeat and started to study about the report.

I was walking with the girls. We just finished our food. We visited Cream's grandma, Lilith who owns a bakery. She sells pretty captivating goods like, bagels, cakes, coffee, tea and many more. Well, my stomach couldn't bear anymore hunger that's why I bought their top selling mocha cake. "You sure you can finish that young lady?" Mrs. Lilith said, "Yes, of course ma'am!" I gracefully said and smiled, "You are really pretty... Just like what the stranger said earlier before you ladies walked in. He even said you really stand out among your comrades!" Mrs. Lilith said, well, that's creepy.

"Who was... This guy your telling me?" I directly asked, while the girls weren't looking. "Well, the young man was maybe, in late 20s... 24 or 25 based on his features. The young man was very polite and cocky at the same time, always hears a blue or black jacket." Mrs. Lilith stopped talking as she heard that our orders are ready, she gave it to me and pushes me to our table.

"Mrs. Lilith, tell me more about that guy!" She stopped pushing me, "Why bother knowing him? Is this the first time you heard that someone adores you?" She sweetly asked, "Well yes, to be honest... No one really told me about those things that you said, that it was from a guy..." I faced her, frowning, "Sweety, I really wished I could tell you more, but, that's all he told me." Mrs. Lilith gave me an disappointed look and returned to her counter.

Well, I was kinda disappointed too because, I didn't know someone adores me like, they knew who really I am... That's kinda strange that it was from a guy that I never knew in my life.

I approached our table and put our food in the table and we started eating. I looked up to the window and noticed a, shadow in a nearby tree. Looks like it's watching us eat. I got distracted as the girls started laughing about what they just do in the cafeteria. I couldn't help but listen to their talk and completely forgotten the figure on the tree.

???'s POV:
"Looks like she already heard about what I just said to Mrs. Lilith..." I continued to watch them and, I saw that a pink hedgehog wears one of the lost chaos emeralds. I've been finding the pieces for years and 2 citizens already had the 2 pieces. My watch beeped and found out that my gang needs a little help "Well, better get going. See you soon, Amy Rose"
