Chapter 10 - Manifest

Amy's POV:

After I got home, Rouge brought me to a mall to go shopping. "Have you heard the news dear?" She asked as we flee to the clothes store. "News? What news?" I said, and she scoffs. "Oh come on. You're not watchin' tv?!" She said, "Ummm... No. What's the news anyways?" "Well, they said that, that a highly wanted criminal was out of the military's base and is now out on the streets around here somewhere" "That's not good" "But the government got it covered and up until now, we got no updates" Rouge finished as she pulled a set of dresses and shoved it to my arms.

"Aren't you worried? That thing you told me must be a serious threat." She shutted me up and pushed me to the dressing room. "Now try this on, and I'll pay it for you," she said casually as if she didn't hear me. Oh, come onnn! I hate this. I know where this is going, she'll bring me next to a salon. "Rouge, this isn't necessary!" I yelled and threw the clothes she gave me over the door.

"Oh, don't be so boring" she threw it back. "New clothes and look aren't that bad." She said, I've got no choice but to do what she says.

I was about to remove my clothes but Rouge knocked furiously at the door. "Amy, we'll finish the makeover the other time, we gotta go!" "Says you, what's with the knocking-" and I got out of the dressing room. What... "IN THE CHAOS IS GOING ON?!" Why is everyone panicking, running, and government authorities, scattered around the whole mall?

"I don't know! I had no idea just like you!" We're already at the center of the Town Mall. My phone in my pocket, rings. I stopped and see who is it. Maybe we can ask for help. "Hello? Who's this?" I answered quickly, "Hey Ames!" "SONIC?! Come over to the Town Mall already! We need help here!" And I ended the call.

"Where are they, Amy?" Rouge calls out as she hits some robots attacking. "I, I don't know! We gotta hold this off a little more!" I summoned my hammer and starts to smash and hit, whatever these things are. I heard a loud noise coming from the entrance, "Having a party without us? That sucks!" I quickly turned around, "You guys are late! Thought you were fast?" I yelled and walked toward Sonic and his friends. "Traffic exists right?" He joked, "We gotta finish this off before they spread throughout the whole town!" Tails yelled as he shoot lasers from his gizmos.

"Alright, let's go" Sonic cues and we scattered to the whole mall. Taking down so many of these might have taken us a while, but I won't let them down.

"Amy! Behind you!" I turned around - a heavy punch was felt at my sides. The strong blow made me fly a mile away. I groaned and held my head, my vision fails to capture a clear sight. I looked down at where I caught the blow - it was bleeding, bleeding badly.

"Give up and hand over the necklace..." Deep voice that sounded like a terror to my ears. I looked up, seeing the gang running towards me, yelling things I can't hear. I can't move. I must move or I'll die here.

Sonic's POV:

I felt my legs slowing down and getting weak as we ran towards Metal and Amy; who is unrecognizable at her state. "Oh Amy, hang on, we're coming" I heard Rouge beside me, I huffed and boosted. Don't die on us, Amy...

"Time out Metal," I said and covered Amy. "Step aside rodent! This has nothing to do with you!" he replied, "Don't care. You hurt my friend, and that means you're going down" I snarled. The others picked up Amy and that's my cue. I leaped forward and dragged him down. This metal bastard is really tough. As we continue to exchange blows - I accelerate my arms and hands to him and he is struggling to cancel it landing of him. "Why are you showing up like this again huh?! What do you need!!" I yelled. He gripped my hands and impaling me. "Welcoming a guest like this Sonic? Oh, how kind of you!" His grip started to grow tight around my neck. "The necklace of the old variant is what I need

I tried to look around - A hunk of broken glass piece was just about my reach. I squirmed and tries to reach the glass. I heard him laugh, "Give up rodent! Ha! No point in fighting back when you're beaten up" The way he said that makes me furiously mad.  I was starting to choke. One last move - alas, I gripped the broken glass and took all of my strength to stab it in his eyes. "RAAAAHHHH!!" he let out an agonizing groan. I didn't let go of it and twisted it deeper as my hands started to bleed. "How dare you!!"  He kicked me in my stomach. 

 "You're not getting away from this!" I warned as I stood back up. I see him touch his eye. I chuckled seeing him staggering and malfunctioning. "Don't you dare go find that necklace, or you'll have to face my wrath again..." I slowly said so that he'll understand.  I ignored the sharp feeling of my hands caused by the glass, "You can't stop me from finding that friend of yours" he stated and he's gone in a blink.

I touched my stomach, "Chaos this hurts a lot..." I was covered in my blood But, I still need to check the others.

Great. I can't move. I opened my eyes, and look around. I think I was in Tails' house because the ambiance of it was familiar. The window was opened - letting a cold wind enter the room. I sat up and winced, I forgot I was injured. I glanced at the clock - it was midnight. Where's my clothes? I realize I was covered in gauze and bandages. I stood up and walked out of the room, down the stairs. My ears twitch as I hear clattering downstairs. I slowly approached the figure as I got down the stairs. I tap the shoulder and thankfully, it's Amy. "Why still awake?" I asked and smiled, she was drinking a glass of water. "Well... I was thirsty" She set the glass down and faced me. She is wearing a white night dress - the dress's linen is not as opaque as it looks, even if the place we are in is dark it still reveals a glint of her svelte body. "You... Why you're awake? You should be resting your whole body, you're beaten up!" Her voice distracts my thoughts. I chuckled, "Nawww. How are your sides? Got any good?" She touched the place where I asked, "I think so?" 

It's silent now. "I'll be going now. And, you should too" She said, climbing up the stairs. I watched her as she was gone in place. I sighed, so many things happened today. I'm glad no one's abducted by Metal. Speaking of it, why is he alive? I know he was dead alongside Eggman... Oh chaos, what now?
