Chapter 22: Knife and Threats

Eltan Storm

I woke up to many noises around me. My eyes were bleary and heavy, so it took me a while to make sense of where I was and what was going on.

I was sitting in the passenger's seat of my car and my men were surrounding Faith at a distance. It was late at night already, but the streetlight helped me see clearly.

"—Where the hell do you think you were taking Capo?" I heard Denver shout and saw him pointing his gun at Faith.

My heart spiked with fear, and I instantly got out of the car and pulled out my gun. Afraid that Denver would shoot her, I quickly aimed at Denver's gun and shot at it. The bullet hit the muzzle of his gun, and it fell out of his hand.

"What the–" Denver stopped cursing when he realized it was me. He looked at me in shock and said, "Capo!"

"What the fuck are you thinking pointing your gun at my girlfriend?" I roared and stormed towards them.

"But Capo, she—"

"Aww, you care for me so much."

I halted in my steps hearing the fake-sweet, condescending voice. I glared in her direction.

Mutiny grinned shamelessly.

"You bloody woman—" I had to stop myself from reaching out to strangle her throat with all might.

This fucking woman spiked my food and brought me to wherever the hell we were. How dare she? I let my guard down because I was with Faith and completely forgot all about her stupid challenge. She took advantage of my blind trust in Faith.

It made me wonder if I spent my date with Faith or Mutiny. Whoever it was, it didn't matter at the moment. What mattered was, what the hell was she planning?

"How did you find me?" I asked Denver, putting my gun back in my holster.

"I called you half an hour ago, but you didn't pick up, then I traced your location and found that you were near the airport. I thought that was strange, so I came to check."

Wait, airport?

I looked around and indeed recognized the surroundings to be near the airport. That's when I connected all the dots.

I shot another glare at Mutiny's direction who only grinned at me in response.

I ran a hand through my face to make the rest of the drowsiness go away. "I'm fine now. You guys can go. I'll deal with her."

Denver was a little hesitant, but he trusted me enough, so he conceded, "Okay, Capo." With that, Denver and the other men walked away to their cars.

I marched toward Mutiny and asked in a dangerous tone, "What on earth was your plan? To put an unconscious me on the plane and take me to New York?"

"Am I crazy? How will I get past the security at the airport like that?"

"Exactly. You don't even have my passport."

"Oh, that I have." She pulled out two passports and two plane tickets from her shorts' pockets, and I stared at her in shock. "Got my and your passport right here."

"How did you get my passport and those tickets?"

"I simply told the maids at your place that I am your girlfriend and they let me in your room where I got your passport. As for the tickets, you gave your credit card, remember? So all of it was easy peasy."
