Amesville
Georgina HighPerhaps it was all in my mind. That's what I'd been trying to tell myself all along. But I realised that this had actually happened when I entered the cafeteria. All eyes landed on me, then they averted just as fast. The first thing I did was dash to Regina and her friend's table. However when I sat down, they all kept on talking like they didn't notice me.
"Regina!" I whisper shouted, needing to get her attention.
She kept on chatting about something that happened in her geography lesson. "Nobody cares! I just sat through a whole lesson on the laps of that Storm Guy!" I wanted to shout when she wouldn't stop talking.
"Regina!" I said, this time louder, more urgent.
This time she snapped her head in my direction, "I warned you about him, Kira. You're on your own now," she said with a frown then turned back to her friends, smiled and resumed her conversation.
I was genuinely hurt by this because I had considered us friends, well at least, sort of friends. She was the only one I knew in this whole school. The only one that helped me out. I should have listened, I knew that now.
"Regina, please. I don't know what to do? I don't know what's going on! Please help me," I pleased with her.
This time, the smile of her face dropped once again, buts he didn't look at me. All she said was, "You made your bed, it's time for you to lay in it."
My shoulders sagged and I felt like crying, but I nodded. She was right, though. I had gotten myself in this mess so I guess I have to find a way to get myself out.
I would have stayed to beg her to help me, but something told me it would be a lost cause. I stood up and decided that I was going to go to the library and probably hide out there for the rest of the school year. But he'd probably find me. He seemed like someone who always got what he wanted and right now, he wanted me.
"There you are! Come sit with us!" came a beautiful voice, one that sounded like the sweetest song I'd ever heard. I finally saw who it was. It was his twin, or his sister. She was looking as gorgeous as ever, this time her legs out on display, long and tan as ever in black stilettos. Her skirt was still as short as I remembered but on her, they didn't look as slutty as they would in any other girl.
She hooked her arm in mine and dragged me to the table in the centre. There, he was just arriving and getting comfortable in his seat. Even by doing such small things he was as beautiful as ever. He sat with a small group of three, all nearly as breathtaking as him but just not nearly enough.
I wanted to tell his sister no, that I had somewhere else to be but she didn't give me time to speak and instead I just allowed her to drag me, nearly tripping as I tried to keep up with her. What had I gotten myself into? I questioned in my mind as we approached him. These people were acting like we were all of a sudden best friends, like they owned me even.
Once we got there, he smirked, his eyes twinkling and his skin sparkled as the sun was kissing it ever so slightly, but just the right amount. I stumbled on my feet, almost falling but I managed to catch myself quite gracefully might I add. I may have been confused about all this and a bit angry at him and his sister for basically ruining my senior year, but I refused to allow myself to embarrass myself in front of him.
"You brought her," he stated, avoiding my gaze and looking at his sister with a dazzling smile.
"Yes I did, brother," she replied, a smile also plastered on her perfectly shaped plump lips, "Kira sit," she ordered pushing me into the seat next to his.
Seriously, what was up with these people? I didn't even know their names! But they knew mine. How? And they were ordering me around like I was some sort of pet to them.
Once I sat down, unwillingly, he pulled me closer. He leaned even closer to me and it was as if he was about to kiss me, bit instead of my lips, he placed his face in the crook of my next.
Everyone at this table was acting like this was so normal. I wanted to yell at all of them to tell them to explain what in goodness name was going on. Who were they and what did they want with me?
I swerved my head to the side, purposefully avoiding any part of him from touching me because I knew that I would be too far gone if that happened.
However, that's when the air shifted.
Him pulling me closer like it was nothing, they didn't care.
Him almost kissing me, they didn't care.
Him treating me like I was his property or something, again, they didn't care.
But me avoiding him, they cared!
All eyes at the table were on me and I looked at him and instead of that cool, don't care look that was always on his face, there was a sharpness in his eyes and a small tug of a frown on the ends of his perfect lips.
"You shouldn't have done that!" he growled out angrily.
Then he stood up, shooting up like a rocket and this left the whole room silent. He grabbed me by the arm and dragged me up beside him then a blinding flash appeared before me. It was so bright that I closed my eyes and when I opened them, I wasn't in the cafeteria anymore.
