Supreme Mansion

"Why do you still insist on fighting me?" Lohan asked as he stood leaning against the door.

I had decided to follow through with my plan to escape and I had managed to get the window open and right when I'd climbed out, Lohan appeared. What perfect time, he had! Please note the sarcasm.

"Because I refuse to be used as some breeding machine! I have more to live for!" I shouted at him, still standing on the window sill, gripping onto the wall with all my might.

Lohan sighed, "And I can bring you back once we've harvested what we need from you."

"You can?" I asked in surprise, pretending to be clueless then I changed my expression and I deadlanned, "I'm not stupid. I know you can't!"

"Well I guess you're right. I can't. And you know what if I could, three hours ago I would have actually planned on saving you, but now you're just becoming a serious pain," he admitted nonchalantly.

"So why don't you just let me go?" I asked.

"Because, you still very much intrigue me. You are powerful, for a human and if you were to bear my heirs, they would be too."

I shook my head, disgusted by him.

"You cannot have me and I will not be the bearer of your heirs!" I yelled at him and then jumped onto the second floor roof, hands still on the sill for my safety.

He simply smirked, "I admire your confidence. It's a pity it can't save you from me."

With that, he snapped his fingers and suddenly I was falling. I looked down and it was just darkness, just like everywhere else. I hated how he was so powerful he could cast a spell with simply snapping his fingers. But I couldn't let this happen. With me under a spell and unaware of my surroundings, he could easily take me from where I actually was and get what he wanted from me.

I closed my eyes, feeling a headache overtake my senses as forced myself to snap out of it. Rebecca had told me that enchantments we simply illusions, there to confuse the enchanted's mind. I fought Lohan's spell and that resistance caused him to increase the intensity of the spell. I, not giving up, fought even harder and when I opened my eyes, although everything was blurry, I could now see my environment.

I walked along the roof, holding onto the walls and window sills so that I didn't fall. I finally reached the end of the roof, where I had to turn, but my intention wasn't to just walk around the Supreme Mansion third floor roof. Next to me was a tall tree, one that I had never loved more as I lowered myself onto a strong brach and then worked my way down the tree.

I didn't know where Lohan had gone and it put me more on edge because he's the type of person to watch me climbing down a tree and not bother trying to stop me, giving me the feeling of victory just for him to crush it and capture me once I'm done.

Finally, after a struggle with tree branches scratching me left and right, I jumped down and landed on the ground. Once I'd checked everywhere, I bolted towards the gate. If I made it past the gates, then I was free and I was back in Amesville, like the real Amesville with the weird people all under an Enchantment. So I ran like my life depended on it because it did.

Come on, come on.

So close.

Then I made the mistake of looking back and I saw Fione who was hot on my heels. She ran so silently, I wouldn't have known she was there if I hadn't been compelled to look backwards. Our eyes locked and she grinned evilly at me and my lack of concentration of where I'd been going caused me to trip on my own feet and I stumbled and then fell, scraping my knee against a stone.

However, I didn't give myself time to cry over the wound and instead I forced myself to get up and keep running. Fione was just a few metres away at this point but so was the gate which was my ticket to freedom, so I powered through the stinging in my knee and I fekt a wave of relief wash over me when a bright flash blinded me and forced me to close my eyes and when I opened them, I was in the main street in central Amesville.

The good thing about Supreme Mansion was that leaving it was easy. All you had to do was walk out through the gate,

"I made it!" I nearly yelled.

Tears welled in my eyes, feeing so happy that I'd made it out of there alove. Now I needed to find Rebecca. Bu now she had to be done with the spell. We needed to leave Amesville now. I wasn't safe here anymore and since she was associated with me, she wasn't either.

I limped my way to her house which wasn't far from here. I fact, nowhere was too far from anywhere in Amesville. I banged on the door like a madwoman and I saw the curtain that covered the window next to the door ruffle a bit, then the door opened and I huried inside. She slammed and locked the door behind me and I allowed myself to fall onto the grey couch with a grunt.

"What hapoened to you?" she asked quietly.

"I fell," I said, my voice probably coming out muffled but she heard me anyway.

"Did Lohan let you go?" she asked, a shimmer of hope in her voice.

If Lohan had willingly allowed me to leave, which, let's face it would never happen, we wouldn't have to sneak around as much and look over our shoulder everywhere we went in Amesville. It would be so much easier that way, but unfortunately, Lohan was, well, Lohan. And nothing  about him made things easy.

"I'd say we have about fifteen minutes," I estimated, "Are you done with the spell?" I asked.

"Yes. We should go now. Once I say the words, everyone will be lifted from the spell for five minutes."

"Wait, so we need to go and get my mum. We can't leave her," I said, remembering my mum.

Rebecca groaned, "Fine, run and go and get her. I'll say the words after three minutes, so you have eight minutes to get her and after that, we have two to leave."

I nodded, not wasting time, I bolted out of her house and down the street to McGregor's house.

"Mum!" I called like a mad woman as I rushed up the stairs to their room, "Mum, come on!"

A sleepy looking mum came and she asked me what was going on.

"Mum, we have to go. I'll explain later, come one!"

"Go where?"

"Home, mum. To Chicago, back to our lives, we can have it all back."

With that, she shook her head, stepping back, "N-no. I can't go back there."

She looked lie she was about to cry, "But mum!" I cried out to her, reaching for her but she stepped back, shaking her head.

"Kira!" I heard a voice call for me, "Kira, come on! We don't have time."

I hesitated at first, but I knew that Lohan was probably not far, so I turned away from my mother, tears streaming down my cheeks now and I ran, but the last thing I heard her say was, "I love you, baby."

Then that was the last time I saw my mother.

I ran towards Rebecca and she gripped my hand saying, "You're about to see what happens if you leave. Don't worry, though okay?" she warned me and that was it.

Everything went black.
