“Ow!” Raye whinced in pain when the mother slap her back. Tristan chuckled quietly before patting her head as he lets out sighed before turning to look at Anne. The youngest— she's only 15 years old as she watched they all quietly. This sister of his prefer to watch and observe people rather than talking much. She talks— but only when someone asked her to

“Hey anne. How's my sister doing?”

“Good”

“How is your study?”

“Great”

And right, she only respond with short answer. So let's not talk about how much she loves talking. He sat down on the couch before turning to look at his mother who took a seat next to him. Raye and Dalton are back to their dancing lesson while Sophea has left the room to watch her daughter. “The ball is not only for Raye. It's also for you. I hope you can find someone tommorow” the mother told him softly. He replied back. A small smile.

How can he fall in love in a night? Well the mother didn't really say that he needs to fall in love in a night but to catch an eye on someone within a night still sounds impossible to him.

“We will see, mother. If you will please excuse me” Tristan said before getting up and ready to leave the room. He wished to not stay any longer there. Pretty sure that the mother will talk non stop about finding a wife for himself and he doesn't feel the need to listen to it for now.

“I'll see you later during dinner, honey.” his mother said before he nod his head and head toward the room to rest himself up.

“Oh god! I told you not to bother me! Can't you just let me eat in peace?!” Raye groaned out before holding up the fork threathening Dalton to stab him “Raye, manner!” the mother scolded before sighing. The dinner table was never in peace as long as there's Raye and Dalton. “Well, Dalton start it first!”

“Perhaps you wouldn't know, it was actually you who start it first by stepping on me repeatedly while we're practicing” Dalton answered back as all the mother could do was sighing.

Tristan stepped down after awhile, pulling the sleeve up to his elbow he smiled at the Viscount Lisle— his sister's husband along with Anthony and Rosamund. Guess they're having big family dinner tonight since everyone is there.

He sat down before the food start to be served. “How was your travel to the America?” Viscount Lisle asked turning his head toward the brother in law. “It was great. I would think making an investment there would give us higher profits.” Tristan answered.

“Oh lord, let's not talk about what related to business on the dining table. It hurt my head just by listening to it” Sophea said before everyone nod their head

“Beside talking about business, what else can we talk about?” Tristan raised his eyebrow

“Love?”

“Marriage?”

“Family?”

“Firs—”

“That's enough. We can just stay quiet. It's much more better isn't it?”
